SDR Nations Cup

12 Performance cars from 3 different continents, all tuned to be equal in performance and lap times (within 0.1 - 0.2 of a second). All cars run on Super Soft (T8) tyres, with stock suspension, and gear ratios.

Rules

1. All cars must be modified to the cars specifications listed.

2. No Hybrids allowed.

3. No tuning allowed - only exception is cars with adjustable rear downforce - no suspension or other upgrades than what are listed are NOT allowed.

4. TCS and ASM must be turned off!

5. This season of SDR Nations Cup will be a VERIFIED series.

Methods of Verification are as follows:

* X-Port / Sharkport Replay
* Photo screenshot of total time:
NOTE: This shot can only be taken on the replay save screen, where it will show the car used, the time, AND the horsepower of the vehicle. Other time photos will be invalid.
* Snail Mail

If you do not have SharkPort / Xport you may snail mail us your memory card - if you do not, you are DQ'd from the series with all points removed. (memory cards will be returned)

6. Each race must be raced in its specified location, whether it be arcade mode, free run, etc.

7. No chicane jumping - grass cutting - wall banging to improve your times - two wheels MUST remain on/over the track at all times!

8. Submission deadline IS the deadline. No late submissions will be accepted - Incomplete forms will be discarded..

9. Sector times, and top speed IS required for submission - if you do not have all the fields required, the submission WILL BE TRASHED!

The Cars.....
Cars can be viewed at the SDR Website http://www.evilzz.net/scaldeddog/series.html

Drivers Championship Points System
Points will be awarded in the following format.

1st: 100
2nd: 97
3rd: 95
4th: 93
5th: 91

etc..... the last number depends on the actual # of drivers.

Team Championship
Teams consist of 2 co-drivers maximum per team, (If your team wants to run more people, they will need to make another team)
eg
SDR 1: (HR186S, Boomerlab)
SDR 2 (Skidmark, Brickman)

The team cars must be from the same Nation (with the exception of euro, where they can be either german or brittish).

The team championship will be run in the following format:

Each driver will race all 7 rounds and compete in the drivers championship. At the end of each round admin will add together the time, (sort of like swapping drivers mid point in the race) to get a team total time.

Team Championship Points System

Driver 1 Points + Driver 2 Points = Team Points

Bonus Points & Home Circuits

During the opening spot race practice for the season, teams and drivers will have the oppurtunity to pick a circuit as their "home" track. This is really an incentive to get out there and race hard.
Home tracks will have to be one of the two circuits available where the car you are driving originates.

eg.
Driver: HR186S
Car: RUF RGT (European)
Home Circuit: Deep Forest II (European)

So when this round comes up the drivers / teams have the oppurtunity to gain some bonus points if they finish on the podium.

Bonus Points are awarded as follows:

Drivers Championship
1st Place: 15 BONUS points
2nd Place: 12 BONUS points
3rd Place: 10 BONUS points

Teams Championship
(Only one driver can earn bonus points for the team)
1st Place: 10 BONUS points
2nd Place: 7 BONUS points
3rd Place: 5 BONUS points

Race Schedule

Pre Season Testing

Welcome to Trial Mountain II!

trimounII.jpg

As the offical pre-season test circuit this season of Nations Cup, all times will be allowed to be discussed, and comments on the cars would be much appreciated.

Key Points on the circuit:

Pit Straight / Chicane (turn 1)
Always a bit hairy through this section in reverse mode, trial mountain II's chicane is a bit of a challenge. Try to keep it clean and on the curbs if possible. Cutting in too early could see your car being launched on two wheels. The nations cup cars take this chicane very fast, with all the speed built up from the long downhill section before hand. Watch the wall on the exit.

Turn 3 (left hander)
I nice line through here seems to make a difference in speed on your approach to the banked right hander. Just remember to keep it off the walls through the Esses on the exit! FR cars like to get a bit taily through this turn.

Banked Right hander (turn 4)
A nice corner imo, probably one of the most important as it dictates your speed down the back straight. As always keep it tight, and smooth, and watch that exit.

Uphill Right hander after tunnel
The most important turn on the circuit, make this turn quickly and you will see seconds slashed off your total time. A real tricky one with speed and placement of the car. If you can get her to stick and not smack the wall on the exit, your doing well!

S turns and tight bends
So your through the uphill section speeding along, keep it to the right here and grab some curb inside for a fairly quick left hander (say hello to the monkeys!). Slam on the anchors and enter another important turn, the very slow left hander into the tunnel. Watch the inside curb as it tends to make some cars spin. Into the tunnel, and you will see a nice right hander thats just asking to be cut. Keep 2 wheels on the track of course!

Downhill, fast sweepers
Flat to the boards, and on the curbs, keep her wide open and make a run to the finish line!

Make your laps then pull into pit stall #5 for refreshments served by SDR Barman Brickman!!
