Searchable Quotes

Would it be possible to incorporate (or have an option to incorporate) a feature whereby searches are able to look within quotes as well as the main body of the text?

The reason I ask is that I thought it would be a handy idea to somehow be notified when you have been quoted - since sometimes people reply to a post you made some time ago. This is particularly relevant for bigger threads, or threads where you contribute often... it can become quite easy to miss posts where you have been quoted/replied to directly...

Of course, I know that this feature is probably not available/possible, but a neat solution would be to allow searches to see your username when it appears in a quote box, which it currently doesn't do... therefore, a simple search of one's own username would reveal all the posts which contained your quoted material...?

Sounds like a good idea. Perhaps it could search within tags to find the "quote=DQuaN".

Good idea, and I think it would be a useful feature, but I don't think it's something that's feasible.

This is a wonderful idea and it would make a great feature, but it isn't an option and I the vB search routine isn't something I want to mess with. Perhaps it will be a standard feature someday.
