I see a lot of discussion on this forum and also on our Dutch forums.
There are Pro's and Con's to having or not having restrictions.
But, there is a simple solution, and the beauty of the solution is: it already has been done by Polyphony!

In the beginning of SE2, the restrictions were there.
Then when SE3 was introduced, the restrictions on SE2 were lifted.
Why not do this for all foollowing events?

My suggestion:
So, SE5 will start with restrictions so the die hard gamers can have their fun, keep it in for like 2 weeks till SE6 starts, then lift the restrictions so everyone can have the possibility to get the creds and the xp.

Best for everyone I think?

add description that such challenges doable with stock cars (incl stock tires) or such power/weight. So hardcore fans can use it as reference.

Its jus a matter of additional text on the description.

Good idea.

I think they should just limit the cars to highest HP and lowest KGS of the "typical opponents" list your racing against (with tire restrictions). This way you have some wiggle room but can not build a monster for an easy win.

Personally I just limit myself, adding power or different tires if I can't get the win. As long as you slowly do the mods you'll find the right balance for your skill level. For example the C4 WRC on Rome, I could only get 3rd with supplied tires so I went up one level for the win.

The previous system wasn't fair because everyone has different skill levels. For example I could do no better then 6th in NASCAR 'ring mess but with different tires I pulled off the victory. I'm not some horrible driver (half of my licenses are gold, the other half silver) but I'm not great either so I need some help. I'd prefer to mod the car slightly then switch to using the SRF "cheat".
