Seasonal Endurance?

Do you think that we might get Seasonal endurance races later down the line? I think it would be great if we did. 👍

But how would that work? I sure would not want to start 15 laps down from the leader and then try to catch the lead car for 2 hours.

I would love to have a seasonal endurance but only if they reworked how the seasonal events are run.

I could deal with an event using LMP or GT level race cars, possibly even like the Ferrari F1 event with maybe 10 laps or so depending on the course so the races are longer than the current 5-10 minute seasonal races.

But a full on endurance race? No thanks. If PD added some sort of team option where you can bring a couple of B-Spec drivers to alternate driving for set periods of time similar to how real endurance races work then perhaps I'd be more agreeable, but right now endurance races just don't do anything for me. So much so that they are the only races left in A-spec I have no desire to even attempt.

I think the races are to easym AI its to weak, my opinion. only in especial events for specilists its hard.

We have 9 endurance races already and that's enough for me. Seasonal Events have to offer something the game doesn't or lacks more of.

I'd like more 300 km races! They can be done in a "normal" time and are fun, not like the 24h where you have to leave on the PS3 for days or even weeks and can't use it otherwise...

It can't be a 24h race. It has to be pretty short endurance race (about 2 hours, three hours top) as the servers may go down and I wouldn't want to be half way through the 24h event when that happens.

As ashes619 says, seasonals require an internet connection. One drop out from your router, or the PSN, while you were racing and you'd lose everything.

Seasonal Events only require the internet connection to view the list. Once you choose the event and the blue loading bar screen appears, you can be disconnected with no ill effects. You can even be disconnected when you finish and you'll still receive the credits/XP/prizes.

Tested it just now by selecting an event, unplugging the ethernet cable (PS3 not setup to use wireless), verifying not being signed into PSN via the XMB, completing the event, and receiving prizes. Didn't reconnect/sign-in until back at the GT Life screen.

I see you guys don´t get it.
The seasonals are NOT on a PD server.You only load up the event.After that you can disconnect your network cable/router/w-lan and the event is still there.
The best is , you can repeat it as long as you want.If you exit the event you need to connect your network and load it again.

A 2 or 3 hour endurance seasonal with the tripled payout at around 10 mil would be nice but I seriously don't ever see an endurance seasonal happening.

How, could you possible have a seasonal endurance? Take 4 hours to catch the pack? Cause that's what a seasonal is. It's not a race. I guess you'd have to start x # of laps down. But that's still NOT a race; more like a challange excercise. Racing is battling the pack on even footing. Seasonals are not so.
