Seasonal Events in Canada?

I've been away from the game for a while, and just noticed that I am able to do Seasonal Events now. I could have sworn they were US only before... did they update this to allow Canadians to play as well, or is this a wonderful side effect of the Anonymous DDOS attack on Sony?

They were always open worldwide. It was the US GT Academy that was US only. You missed out on some good stuff if you didn't do any of the previous seasonals.
