Seasonal Events?

Could someone please tell me what seasonal events are? Yes, I'm a noob.
FYI:
I'm on level 26, but have yet to race online, as, and I quote, "the chat function must be set to on for this game." As I am not 18 yet, this must be done online. Naturally, the website is down.

Seasonal events are basically new events that PD gave us after the release of the game. Some of them are special, there are also time trials with restrictions and drift trials with leaderbords, and you can gain a lot of money in them, because they still have 3x rewards. Some are normal A-spec events, but you start in the last place and have to win to get biggest reward. It's also the only place where you can win suits and helmets.

The other thing to note about the seasonal events, is you need to be online in order to use them.

they are very much worth doing, as they provide a way to get lots of XP and credits.

Not really sure what the bold text is all about. I'd gloss over that if I were you. Other than that, all of the above replies answer your question. You do need to be signed into PSN in order to access them, but once you do there are plenty of rewards to be had. You'll be Lvl 36 in a matter of days and have a bucketful of Cr and racing outfits... 👍👍
