Even with all the minor problems that GT5 may have, you guys just noticed how the Seasonal Races thing just makes a lot of sense now?

I mean, think about it in a calm and open-minded way (haters plz go home)... I wasn't used to have a large selection of Kei cars in my garage... I usually only had like the Daihatsu Move SR-XX because its a bomb at 180hp (a nice and funny sleeper) and well, with these new set of very, very fun and rewarding kei car seasonals, I've had to experience cars like the AZ-1, Cervo SR and Cappucino (wich I knew that are good little cars, since the old GT times)...

And I'm loving every little bit of them... The little cars are fun and nimble and the races are quick and give a honest ammount of cash. (about 100k per 3 minutes)

Almost the same for the Lambo races, I haven't much use for my lambos other than just cruising around and stuff like that... the Lambo races was great too...

The 80's and Classic Car races were good too, but the Kei cars and Lambo ones are really a blast.

I really hope they do a muscle car and more speciality events, like a Ferrari or Lotus or BMW only races...

What you guys think about it?

The seasonal events always made sense to me. I have always looked at them as races designed to keep you coming back.

Yeah, for me too, but some sets of them aren't as much fun and the prizes are awful...

With 100k per race and a nice combination they just become better...

Yep, love the seasonals and love the fact that you can do them over and over again. Too bad the old "Bonus Races" were only a 1 shot deal, though they did reward handsomely.

Nice to read a thread where it's not more complaining, I really hate that. And I agree also with the OP, they last 2 events have been quite well balanced I think. 👍

I love the seasonals. They made me discover cars I would never have bought otherwise. Example is my late 80's rx7 on comfort soft tires. What a fun car to drive.

I agree, I only wish there were more, 5 a week would keep me busy. As long as they keep putting them out though i will play every single one. :gtpflag:

Why dont the seasonals show the prize money anymore? You gotta enter the race prep menu to see the prize money.

If only they would improve the AI, seasonal races are boring with the mindless AI.

I prefer battling it out for first over the course of the race versus chasing my way up thru the pack. Still, the seasonal events are a welcome alternative to nothing.

Basically they've evolved into an extended A-Spec with series mostly already present in A-spec revisited with some new tracks and increased prize money, etc.
It isn't bad nor particularly exciting in my opinion, thing is they could perhaps be more original given the online-opportunities and the temporarily character of these events, not just the sort of cars but why limit it to racing only for example?
There could be other challenges than racing or time trials perhaps, not sure I can come up with something right now but you can use cars for different, and fun, purposes.
These seasonals could be used more on an experimental basis and provide immediate feedback, if it ain't working or isn't appreciated it'll only be there for a limited amount of time unlike the offline content.

I think they should go back to the original Seasonals
and save the newer seasonals like the lambo races, f1 races and the one thats currently up for a aspec/bspec update

Like add 5 to 10 apsec/bspec races a month or every other month
along with One make races and dealership races

All they have addressed so far is the lack of credits though, the other half of the battle is to make payouts variable for higher sets of restrictions so the players who actually want a hard game can have one.

Something like a Super GT Racing series would be a great idea if added to the seasonal events, with the prize money going beyond 150-200,000Cr.

I also enjoy the seasonal racing. The variety is great and like the others, I get to race cars that were gathering dust in my garage.

Some of the races can be quite challenging, if you're willing to run a showroom stock car with the same tires as the AI.

nope

As analog said, the Seasonals have turned into basically an add-on to A-Spec, and I'm loving it.
People are complaining about prize money and not enough A-Spec events; here's the solution. That is, if PD can get the events and prize money right.

Alternatively what you could do is keep the newer seasonals as they are but with an added level with the restrictions they had back in seasonals 1 & 2 as a 'Driver's Challenge' mode with the same rewards back then...

I enjoy the seasonals a lot. I love that I can jump in my stock '69 Camaro Z28, go to the Classic Car seasonal, have a blast driving one of my favorite cars in the game, and make some decent money in the process. 👍

Good Thread...

I'm loving the recent Seasonals...
Burning around the Nurburgring in my SVT was fun... The Lambo racers were a blast...

Even cruising around in the 600cc cars brought a smile to my face...

I'm especially pumped that they just recently appreared to remove the End Dates for the Seasonals racers (Ferrari Formula Challenge in particular).

I also like the Seasonal Events.

There's a great credit-making addition to the game. (It's pretty 🤬 sweet earning 107,000 credits in about 3.5 minutes!)

It's been great to drag out some cars I normally would drive (like my Cappuccino RM in Iris Red Pearl) and hone my driving skills - which sorely need honing!

It's still repetitive (call it grinding if you want), but it totally beat the B-Spec grind that I've been trapped in for months now - even if the B-Spec grind has put hundreds of cars in my garage.

Do Seasonal Events fix what A-Spec lacks? Not really, but there's a positive, and I applaud their addition!

Peace...

Good read but seriously, there is a lot of people on this site who care about A-Spec. I for one couldn't give two hoots about A-Spec and racing A.I, it's good for a time killer and obviously essential part of game for earning cash ,but i just wanna meet and race real people online, that's where the enjoyment is for me.
When no decent servers are running with a good connection then A-Spec and Seasonals are great fun, but since im not 12 anymore i can't spend all day just racing A.I, i quickly get bored of racing the computer and want some real people to race against.

I hate GT5 Online at first, could never find a decent race it was demolition derby. Then one day i stumbled upon a nascar server where people were actually racing properly ( i hate nascar) but it was made so fun by the fact people were racing clean, when they crashed out they didnt just force there way onto the track again etc.. Ever since that moment 1 month ago,i can always find a clean race and i haven't played GT5 OFF-LINE since except to get 36,000 for R/S tyres that unfortunately everyone seems to use.

I have a disciplinary meeting at work on tuesday due to being 25min late ( caused by a 25lap online suzuka race that i couldn't say no to, the previous one was just so exhilarating )

OK, I'm lost...

How am I complaining?

Was it because I used the words "B-Spec grind" side-by-side, or the combination of words "A-Spec lacks"? Maybe it was use of the word "fix"?

:dunce:

I'm not complaining. Not at all. (Far from it, actually...)

I'm not even going to try and demonstrate how I could've possibly said what I did in a complaining manner, because it would still be complaining. :irked:

Oh well... :indiff:

It would be nice if you could win a car from them, but i guess the money, more than makes up for it.

I like the seasonals, don't mind that I can easily over-power the opposition, or take the choice to make things more challenging. Love it that it seems as though they aren't going to expire, and am happy with the improving payouts.

Would like it if they were added to A-spec (so they could be played offline) and wouldn't turn down winning a car obviously ... Overall, I'm looking forward to getting these ... I hope they continue being added. Thank you PD
