Seat recommendations?

I've got 'permission' to get a seat for my pvc cockpit build (based off of Simil8r and SlowEddy's designs), but I need a seat for it.

I'm leaning towards a Recaro, but am open to suggestions and hoping someone can point me in the right direction for where to find and order a good one at a reasonable price. I want one that the seat back adjusts as well as sliders so I can adjust the distance from and to the pedals. I considered getting one from a 'you wrench it' type of place, but when my wife offered to get me one for Christmas, that sealed the deal on getting a nice new one. My budged it $300 (including shipping), so anything up to that is being considered.

Any advice/suggestions on vendors would be appreciated.

Cheapest place would be junkyard...I picked up an impreza seat on kijiji. Hope that helps.

You'd be nuts to spend 300 on a racing seat alone for your build. Like Mastakojo said, junkyard, kijiji or craigslist are your best bets. Do yourself a favour and don't buy new, especially for something not actually going inside a car.

I picked up a new Corbeau Forza II (blue) off craigslist for less than $100. Craigslist is a great place to start

I am using a seat from a ford focus I am busy making it into a full n track racing seat with head wings the lot, the seats frame work makes it easy to do and will only cost me about £25 to do.

Try jegs or summit racing. They have a seat I am eyeing for $156.

Someone chucked a car seat in the alley out back next to the dumpster last night, classy!
I'd look around before spending $300 on one. Lots of seats at the wreckers.
