As a little background, I've gotten, Bronze in Nurburgring (I haven't attempted to Gold it yet), Gold in Monza (Gold yesterday) and Silver in Suzuka.
I spent SIX hours trying to Gold Suzuka today, and now my back is killing me.
I can do a brilliant first lap but I will just get a bit excited and get disqualified the next lap.
I know I have the pace to do it, I just need to string the laps together.
My best first lap is a 1:05.065.
The end of today ended with me shouting at everyone after spending 2 hours to get 0.555 seconds off Gold, then 1 hour later to get 0.3 seconds off Gold, then 1 hours getting 0.2 seconds off Gold. The last 2 hours was spent sitting there failing and making no improvement.
My problem?
I can nail the first lap but I get too excited or too cautious for the second lap.
Any help?

Also, I seem to keep failing at the hairpin for either going too slow or going too fast, I can't seem to get that one right.
Another one is Degner 1, it's just so easy to get disqualified there.
The final place is the final chicane, this is where most of my time is lost.
I get brilliant first and second sector times, but the last corner always seems to disqualify me or I go too slow. I get disqualified for not even going off, I'm on the kerb!
ARGH!

If you can do one lap, you can do another. Sometimes it will just happen.
What i do is not focus on two laps, but just to focus on getting each section right, seeing how fast it can be done and when im consistently nailing it, then moving on to the next. Its practice, simple as that.

When I do a really good try, such as 0.2 seconds off, the attempts after that are really poor.
And Suzuka is my favourite too...

I gave up those challenges after about 4h of trying without finishing a single time on Monza. I just can't play with the controller, it seems as if it has a serious delay...

I tried controller, I felt massive lag.
People have Golded all of them using a controller though.

Well I'm more sensitive with stuff like that though...I just can't get it right with a controller, I need my wheel but I don't have the space to set it up...
Oh well at least the B-Spec Lvl35-gift is worth it... :D
Impressive times are achievable with that beast...

You have to find the right braking point here. Some sort of visual reference. I think I used the rumble strip on the right. A fraction before it starts after it starts I'm not sure I dont remember but its the only way to be consistent.

Try to be a tad more conservative in this corner. What I did was be (slightly) conservative through Degner 1 then an animal thorugh Degner 2 where there is more banking to catch you

I was losing time here too until I realized how fast you can exit the final chicane. Try pushing a little harder on exit. Make sure you have a good line too to maximize your angle for exit.

Also, how would people rate Nurburgring?

Utter crap

The final chicane has to be taken perfectly or the curb will throw you into the grass

Also the physics are exposed here, I found giving the car gas through one of the high speed turns gave it more grip 👎. I quit it at silver, .4 off of gold. Dont think Ill ever go back

Thanks Earth.
For the final chicane, I can't find any visual reference at all.
I only have the Suzuka sign as a reference.

There are meter markers on the left leading up to the final chicane ,mcasio i believe its called

Using a controller, I got a 2:07 at Monza. If you can get through 2 laps you should make bronze, the hardest part is the Ascari Chicane, finding that little green patch on the run off area at the first apex is difficult at 200mph.

Suzuka feels bronzeable, but I just can't get around 2 laps. I get one lap done and then mess up first Degner. Degner is just mad, I'm either disqualified in the 1st one or too slow in the 2nd one. My best first lap is a 1'09'3 just now while I'm a bit tipsy, so maybe that helps :sly: That time is probably just short of bronze though.

Nurburgring is probably the easiest of the three to get two laps complete, but really hard to go fast around. I only tried it a few times, best was 7 seconds off bronze.

You can cut the chicanes at Monza without being disqualified.

Yeah you can, it's just when you have to turn a car into a corner at 200mph and aim for a tiny little curb you can barely see, that's difficult. To be fair on my second lap (1'01'389) I didn't really cut the chicanes so blatantly, so I probably could improve on that.

The chicanes that I really cut are the second set of chicanes.
Brake late and just go through the green bit.
