This challenge seems impossible. Everyone of the videos on Youtube makes it look so easy when it isn't...:ouch: It seems impossible to keep a clean lap around any of the 3 tracks given too you. Monza I can almost get round once before the stupid Parabolica comes up and ruins it for you. Nurburgring I tend to fail around the first curves and hairpin after the first section. Suzuka I lose it right at the end of the esses. This is the hardest challenge in the game without a doubt.

I'm only looking for Bronze, I do have an X2010 coloured but it is traded and it has picked up miles at too much speed. Any hints for me please?

Thanks in advance,
C-ZETA.

PS. I'm using the controller. And anyone who dare says I get a wheel should really not bother because a) I have no time for them and b) I'm almost an antidote to the superhuman reflex wheel users (in other words, I am abysmal with them.)

PPS. Feel free to link me to another thread if you wanna make it simple. ;)

I golded it using the controller with these settings:

SRF= On (might seem a bit dirty, but is an absolute requirement)
Steering Sensitivity= 7 (makes the car much more responsive)
Everything else, including ABS= Off

Considering you already have one, try driving it with the Power limiter set to 50%, once you're comfortable with the car, up it to 75% and do it again until you can control it at 100%.

One tip I can have for Nurburgring is to trailbrake into corners, letting the car slide sideways, reduces your braking distance.

As for Monza, cut the corners!

For Suzuka, when going through the esses, try aiming the car towards the middle of each corner. It's very easy to lose/gain time there.

Good luck:cheers:

HAHAHA!! I love you for posting that setup advice!! Managed to get a bronze which is enough for me!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I golded Monza in around 1 hour of trying with the new sensitivity by 0.3 seconds. ABS 1, TC off, SRF on, Rest off. Auto transmission and default settings controls with DS3.

1. Use search and you will find 50 similar threads saying all the same.
2. Practice.
3. Practice more.
4. Practice even more.
5. Get bronze.
6. Give up silver and gold.
7. Do some other stuff for a while.
8. Practice other races with the X2010.
9. Come back and nail it. One time for all.
10. Never think about it again.

I'll also try these settings... I have bronze in Monza and the Nurb, but I can't even finish 1 lap in Suzuka... (after 30 minutes trying).

Am I the only one who found Nurburgring GP the toughest?
Nurburgring took me 1 hour 15 minutes;
Monza took me 10 minutes;
Suzuka took me 30 minutes.

TCS: Off
ASM: Off
ABS: 1
SRF: Off
Controller sensitivity: 3

Went for bronze and never tried it again.

I just tried this today. Couldn't get through two consecutive laps at Nurburg trying to keep times even remotely close to the video demo. Having never driven the X2010, I'm completely unaccustomed to the acceleration, breaking, cornering, etc. and I feel like it handles faster than my actual reaction time, making me uber clumsy in corners. I actually don't like this car for all the praise it receives. I mean, a great and interesting concept but not for my tastes.

I saw the prize money and thought I'd grind 2 minute bronzes. Hahahaha.....

I bronzed them all by a few milliseconds always on the second lap my heart starts pounding and I feel so much pressure and sometimes if I mess up then I say **** THIS ***** ****** ******.
Lol if u can figure out what I said pm me and I'll send u a gt academy Nissan gtr specv 09.

I hope I can offer some encouragement and help.
I just completed this challenge 2 days ago and did it after only about 2 hours or so of trying with a DS3 controller, and I am not a really fast driver.

It takes a bit to get accustomed to the speed of everything happening. Try looking farther ahead down the track and corners as you approached them. I used the view from slightly above the car rather thank either of the two cockpit views as I found it gave me a better vantage in seeing the upcoming corners.

I switched my accelerator to R2 button to allow me to use my thumb for braking and index finger for acceleration.

The key is try and not to tense up your hands because everything is happening so fast. Just stick with this challenge and don't jump back to slower cars as this upset your mental adjustment to this very fast car.

The first couple of tries really discouraged me but I stuck with it and was able to bronze it with a few seconds to spare.

Good Luck

If I can do this, so can you.

I have DONE IT using these settings! Thanks a bundle!

Nurburgring took a while to figure out but wasn't that bad in the end. Also I somehow survived hitting the chicane quite hard in one try :boggled:

Monza was a pansy. I was 4 seconds off of silver which I am not going to attempt

Suzuka was the hardest of the bunch, so many turns to figure out how to get through successfully...I never figured out how to get through Spoon quickly for instance.

So happy I now have an X2010 I have worked for! :D Of course I'll get another one for B-Spec L35 which is rather close now. :irked:

...and looking back, it seems so easy now. :( But again, thanks a bunch for your help!

I have already bronzed the Vettel but I will try again with your settings zed and see if I can improve my times. I am only 2 seconds off from silver on all three tracks so hopefully I can knock that down.

The settings make the biggest difference on Monza by a long way - it's far easier to cut the chicanes with higher sensitivity. Also the lack of ABS actually won't harm you much at all since you can recover from any lock up using the responsive steering. You don't feel the lock up at all though.

I haven't unlocked this yet but I keep hearing about how it makes you want to rip the DS3 in half.

What car do you use, are you given a car?

Is it one of those ultra infuriating touch a pixel of the grass and your disqualified stupiditys?

I hate this event already.:grumpy:

You are given the same car which you will unlock:sly:

In this case, touching a pixel of grass means that your laptime will become slower:ouch:

Remember than 80% of your total effort will be spent on trying to shave off the last 0.5 seconds, never give up until you achieve what you want.

Also, as long as you're doing the challenge, NEVER drive any car other than the X2010, it messes up your co-ordination:banghead:
