1 for the UK peeps more than any1 else

---------------this car has been found with no damage-----
TOTB top contender ,200mph+, 500bhp at wheels
Last night at 10pm in the Castle Bromwich/ Smiths Wood area of Birmingham I was car jacked in the 3dr cossie. A silver rover 400 cut in front of me to stop me moving, whilst a number of masked guys approached the car. They smashed the drivers window punched me in the face and dragged me from the car. They hit me over the head and then proceded to try to beat me up and steal my wallet. I managed to defend myself and get away with my wallet and phone but unfortunately the 3dr was taken.

I have been to hospital and had stitches in my head and am now back home recovering but urge anyone who may have any idea about this to contact me. There will be a reward for the return of the car.

Lastly if you can all be vigilant should the car be broken and sold in bits or to any breakers please be aware of people trying to sell cosworth parts. Theres very little standard about the engine bay so if you should be offered any of the parts fitted to my car please let me know. If you need pictures of the car to remind yourself look in the gallery on my website.

Many thanks.

TOTB is Ten Of The Best, try to find the fastest modifed car in the UK testing them in quarter mile, top speed and handeling course

TOTB

If your lucky enough to own a rare car I would suggest defensive driving techniques ie- keep an eye on cars and people around you and what there doing, at traffic lights, jams, etc.. always stop far enough from the car in front so you have an escape route like pavement etc.. all sounds a bit OTT but its better than losing your pride n joy.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Car crime in the UK is just ridiculously high. Week in week out I read about so many cars stolen. Mostly Imprezas, Evos, Skylines, and Cossies. I want to leave UK, partly due to the crap government that taxes us motorists off the road, and live in Japan. God I hate this country. Great Britian = oxymoron.

TOTB2 was awesome, BTW. Not that I went.

Xenon, there are quite a few TOTB videos. I'll try and find them later.

and you would have thought with all the money spent on these cars they would put 24/7 trackers on them. It seems logical to me.

Well I don't know if that car in specific has a tracker of any sort. However:

That car has been posted on the MLR, UKGTROC and lots of UK car club forums.

It's stupid to post security measures on a public forum as a thief looking for a suspect could be browsing, find out your location via hacking or if it has been said and also find out methods to overcome those security measures.

Most insurance companies require a tracker and/or a cat 1 alarm to be already installed on a high profile car such as an Evo, Impreza, Skyline etc in the UK - mandatory.

If I owned a high profile car (and I want either a Vette or Viper), then security would come before power, chassis, entertainment and/or aerodynamics modifications - PERIOD.

I heard that, I think, in south Africa it is legal to have big flame throwers under teh side of your car as a security functuion, but illegal to kill anyone with them.
