Second Sixaxis Config??

Hi... the other day was the first time i noticed about a problem with 2player battles.... i cannot find the way to configure the sixaxis for the second player... i mean.. what about if player 2 want to use different buttons to each function... or if he want to use the In Game Quick Tunning?? can he??
 
Quick tuning doesn't work in 2 player battles...
But I don't know if you can set the sixaxis differently..
If I do a 2 player battle with my brother.. I just use a wheel, and he uses a controller..
 
No, the second player can't config his buttons, no you can't use quick tune in split screen (tune the car in single player arcade before the race)
 
yeah i noticed that too
its a bummer because whenever i play my friend, he says he loses because he can't use the triggers instead of the analog stick...
