Second Vision Gran Tursimo car?

Hey guys, I saw an article on topgear.com (link is below this text) about a pretty crazy Golf. It's called Design Vision GTI. Vision GTI, could this mean that this is a new Vision Gran Turismo car? I mean, Vision Gran Turismo is a project where car companies can do what thy want, and I think that's VW's car for the Vision GT project.

There's no mention of GT6 though, so maybe they just happened to pick that name.
I'm hoping that they've got a bolder concept in store for Vision Gran Turismo.
 
We'll know the next one when it gets announced.

I have posted a quite lengthy post last week about the car.

From what I found, the car was made by VW for the VW golf tuners club. VW was asked to design one as a concept. Like many others have said, there s no direct link between vision in GT, or a vision as where the next designed Golf will go.
 
I've seen this a couple of months ago. It is unrelated to GT. For future note though, be aware that Vision doesn't equal Gran Turismo.

No clue...I just did a Google search of "vision cars" and that's the first that popped up. Has about as much chance of being a Vision GT car as the Volks does...:lol:

The first concept was called the Vision Efficient Dynamics. As it has evolved through the years (first concept was revealed in 2009), it has changed name to i8. Production starts in 2014, I think.

The car on that picture looks like the 2009 concept, so it would be the Vision Efficient Dynamics.
 
This must been said before but tl;dr this thread today.
There have been reports that VW's Vision GT concept is based from the Golf model for some reason. Doesn't make sense when you think about 'gran touring' cars. It could be a W12 Nardo successor but maybe they will be doing a Jetta style concept.
