Sector Mode and Full Lap?

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between sector mode and full lap drift mode in drift trials? I always use full lap drift and can never figure out why I suck at drift trials in seasonal events, which are in sector mode.

Simple really, sector mode is like the drift trial seasonal's,and full lap is just that(it puts sectors around the whole course).

Sector mode you only get points for that sector which is usually just a turn or two and in full lap you get points for the hole lap meaning that you can get more points for drifting straightaways or small turn that were not included in sector. But in the form of how many points you get they use the same physics so as I said some extra area to drift.

To add to what they said, you may not be doing well because of your vehicle, angle of drift, or position on the track where you drift. It has become blatantly evident that the closer to the inside you can get the better. Pay attention to the Apex and make sure you counter steer before entering your drift to get the best possible angle. Use a car with a good amount of horsepower too, it makes life easier when it comes to correcting your mistakes mid-drift. (just make sure not to floor it the whole time if in a FR or you will spin the higher horsepower cars.) hope this helped some. One last thing, as far as sectors are concerned, the best was to see how it's done is watch the leader on the leader board and see how he does it.

How do you know how good you are in the full lap drifts? The only benchmark is your own score.

I don't know how good I am. I don't drift for competitions and I only once tried to drift in a seasonal events drift trial. I mainly drift 'coz it looks cool.
