I'm asking out of complete ignorance here, but is my profile (or anyone else's)available for anyone, regardless if they're registered or not?

Last night I was added to someone's MSN messenger. This someone said he's not a member of GTP but got my address from my GTP profile. He then proceeded to ask me to join his site ad nauseaum

Would it be possible for users to be able to see someones else's profile only if they have registered, and in such a case as someone being recruiting people for their forum, we be able to let mods know so they can subsequently ban the recruiting/spamming user...?
 
Right... that's what I'm getting at... shouldn't the user profile (or the information contained therein) be available only to registered/logged users?

I think vB has the option built in :) It's under usergroup permissions or something i think. *checks*

No, apparently not :lol:

There's a way of doing it though, be it code or whatever...
 
Thanks for the heads-up, this was a pretty big oversight. You must now be a registered user to view member profiles.
