Most of the tornado's in this country seem to happen in the North Island. The only South Island 'nado i know of was in Christchurch last year but i don't think it did any damage.

Of course, these are nothing compared to what you Americans get.

That reminded me of cyclone Tracy at Darwin about 15-ish years ago. We called it a disaster and everything and played it up as if it was really bad but yanks get worse than that a couple of times every year!

One of my life long dreams is to drive down to Tornado Ally (midwestern USA) and chase down a few twisters. I get the biggest thrills out of very strong storms because in Massachusetts nothing severe ever happens here and its usally a pretty boring area.

Americans? Pah!

Great Britain gets more tornados per land area than any other country on Earth.

At first I thought this thread was about the fighter plane know as the Tornado! :dunce:

You mean the fighter-bomber? :D

Famine

When Great Britain gets hit with numerous F4 and F5 tornados (or T9 - T10 in GB) within' 1 storm season, then you will have something to post about.

We got more tornados than you!
