According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Jerry auctioned off a 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster and the winning bid was a whopping $1.54 million.

The buyer, FICA FRIO Ltd., says the authentication of the vehicle was bogus. What's more ... the buyer is saying Jerry intentionally misrepresented the authenticity of the whip. The suit says in the history file of the Porsche, the person who sold it to Jerry said, "Unfortunately we do not have a lot of information on the 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GT Carrera Speedster. We purchased the car from a broker who would not take me to the cars (sic) original location to meet the family that owned it originally."

The buyer took the car to one of the world's foremost historic Porsche dealers who expressed concern about the authenticity, and an investigation revealed it wasn't the real deal. On June 21, 2018, the suit claims Jerry called a rep for the buyer and left a voicemail that said he wanted to "offer my apology for this nuisance and assure you that you will be completely indemnified in full and not have to keep the car and get all your money back."

Porsche built only 151 Carrera Speedsters between 1955 and 1959, and fewer than 90 had the GS/GT trim the buyer thought he was getting.

The buyer says he didn't get his money, and is now suing to rescind the sale and get his money back. He's also suing for punitive damages.

Update-
Jerry's attorney, Orin Snyder, tells TMZ, "Jerry has been working in good faith to get to the bottom of this matter. He has asked Fica Frio for evidence to substantiate the allegations. Fica Frio ignored Jerry and instead filed this frivolous lawsuit."

He continued, "Jerry consigned the car to Gooding and Company, an auction house, which is responsible for the sale. Nevertheless, Jerry is willing to do what's right and fair, and we are confident the court will support the need for an outside evaluator to examine the provenance of the car."

If the guy (not sure who he is?) thought he was selling a genuine car in good faith and he's made a good faith offer of restitution then I don't see there's much of a lawsuit to be had.

HERE is the lawsuit
A couple I find odd, first they don't provide any evidence how it is fake other then what someone from "one of the world’s foremost historic Porsche dealers" thinks
27. Following Fica Frio’s purchase of the Vehicle, it was brought to the United
Kingdom and parked at the Maxted-Page Limited facility in Essex, England.
28. In March of 2017, Fica Frio asked Lee Maxted-Page, the Managing Director of
Maxted-Page Limited and one of the world’s foremost historic Porsche dealers, to prepare a
proposal for a potential sale of the Vehicle.
29. Upon inspection and investigation into the Vehicle, Mr. Maxted-Page expressed
concern regarding the limited contents of the Vehicle’s history file, particularly the lack of
photographic evidence of the restoration work. Ultimately, Mr. Maxted-Page was not
comfortable marketing the Vehicle.
30. Subsequent inspection and investigation revealed that the Vehicle is not authentic.
Don't major auction houses authenticate the items they are auctioning?

Second it states Seinfeld knew before the sale of Porsche it was fake but in a vocailmail from Seinfeld he asked them how found out it was fake cause when his guys look at when he bought it nothing looked wrong. What proof does Fica Frio have that Seinfeld knew it was a fake Porsche?
32. On June 21, 2018, Mr. Seinfeld telephoned Mr. Monteverde directly and left a
voicemail audio recording for Mr. Monteverde (the “Voicemail”). In the Voicemail, Mr.
Seinfeld identified himself, stated that he heard from Gooding about the “counterfeit car,” stated
that he wanted to “offer my apology for this nuisance and assure you that you will be completely
indemnified in full and not have to keep the car and get all your money back,” and stated “I did
want to apologize to you personally for that happening.”
33. In the Voicemail, Mr. Seinfeld also stated that he “would also love to know how
your guys figured it out because I find that to be interesting cause that’s impressive my guys did
not I guess see anything amiss with the car when I bought it.”

Seinfeld now suing the car dealer who sold him the Porsche
Jerry Seinfeld is going after the classic car dealer that sold him what they claimed was a rare Porsche, because he thinks the car's certification wasn't legit ... this according to a new lawsuit.

In the suit, obtained by TMZ, Jerry says he bought what he thought was a 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster for $1.2 million in 2013 -- and the seller, European Collectibles, gave him a certificate of authenticity.

As we reported, Jerry auctioned the car off 3 years later for $1.54 million ... and the winning bidder, FICA FRIO Ltd, later challenged the car's authenticity, and sued the comedian for hawking a bogus Porsche.

So, now Jerry wants European Collectibles to pay up. In his lawsuit, Jerry says he relied on European Collectibles' certification when he bought the vintage whip, and had no clue it might be bogus until he got sued.

In the docs, Jerry says he doesn't know if FICA FRIO Ltd's allegation about the Porsche's authenticity is true, and he wants no part of the dispute. He says it should be sorted out between FICA FRIO and European Collectibles.

Jerry's suing to get European Collectibles to cover his damages if the court finds the car's certification is indeed bogus.

Jerry's attorney, Orin Snyder, tells TMZ, "Jerry has no liability in this matter, but he wants to do the right thing, and is therefore bringing this action to hold European Collectibles accountable for its own certification of authenticity, and to allow the court to determine the just outcome."

This one's interesting because when at auction, it was advertised to include a Porsche CoA. Could Porsche themselves have incorrect information? Ill be watching this one closely.
