Last night, when I turn on the GT2 Wheel, the steering wheel cannot turning to center when Self Calibration. Referring the user manuel ,Power on the wheel and wait until self calibration
has finished. Display shows "- - -, but now the display is show "888"..........even in any platform mode, and i try to turn on/off in 100 times more. Anyone had meet this problem and how to solve it? Many Thanks!!

Thanks your information JogoAsobi!!

i had send a mail to them in same time, hoping it would cleaning to us and have a good sound of reply......

Finally, How to you solved the problem or ship the wheel back to fanatec?
If Ship back to Fanatec, it should be difficult for me....@@

I know Fanatec's parent company Endor founded a subsidiary Japan late last year.
It is called ENDOR Japan KK. You may want to ask their tech support about that.
Where did you buy the wheel from?

Otherwise you will have to ship the wheel back to wherever Fanatec specifies for Hong Kong. In my case, I am in the USA so they sent me a replacement, and I had to ship the failed wheel to California state where Fanatec has a product fulfillment location a local company handles.

I am pretty sure in case of 888 failure they replace the wheel, the other option is repair, but I don't know their policy for Hong Kong returns/repairs.

Most likely they will send you another wheel or try and get you to send that one in for repair long as the wheel is still in the 2 year warranty. Don't feel bad I had 2 GT2's break on me in 3 months time with the first one only lasting 4 hours. If they are going to send you another wheel try and get them to send you a regular CSR. I got them to upgrade me to that one since I had problems with 2 GT2's. It's a much better wheel in my opinion. Better and smoother ffb, quicker turning and the paddle shifters are waaaay better than the gt2 and gt3's. I think the ffb feels better cause the CSR wheel rim is aluminum so it's a little lighter than the more bulky gt2. I think a couple less buttons than the GT2 but they are much better placed.

Thanks your information, a free upgrade wheel~
I worry about that the shipping fee form hong kong to USA may be very expensive......
Is it free shipping fee of your wheel turn back form fanatec?

I can only talk about German warranty right. All cost (including shipping) have to be payed by the company.

That is why I suggested you ask Fanatec tech support if sending to their Endor Japan subsidiary would be an option in my earlier post on this thread.
I believe it would be much cheaper for you to send from Hong Kong to Japan, then to the USA.

Also, Mahnegold is located in Germany and Netherlands, so like Fanatec users in USA he was re-imbursed for shipping back defective wheel because Fanatec ships their goods to those countries.

I have friends in Brazil who own Fanatec products and they are in similar situation to you, in event of warranty issue they have to send the item back to the USA fulfillment center at their own cost, and then have the replacement sent to someone in USA who can send back to them in Brazil at their own cost again.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of the fact, that Fanatec does not ship to Hong Kong.

Mahne, nothing to be sorry about, we're all just trying to help. It's not like Fanatec's warranty-related shipping policies are spelled out in black and white on their support page, store's return regulations, and product warranties included in their manuals. If they were, there would be no need for our postings to this thread.

From what I can ascertain only the countries listed on the Fanatec.com/Index page used to select the country are where Fanatec "ships" to. The only regions listed are North America, and Europe.

Curiously, Japan does not appear on the index list although the parent company Endor founded a subsidiary Japan late last year called ENDOR Japan KK.

There is a statement posted on Fanatec's European webshop's Payment, Delivery, and Shipping page that states; "Deliveries to countries outside Europe are unfortunately not possible at the current time."

The corresponding Payment, Delivery, and Shipping page on the Fanatec USA webshop states; "Reaches every urban and rural address throughout the 48 contiguous states." and "For more information or special shipping requirements, please email us at..."

Finally, i took the wheel to game shop which i bought before, and check it.

The result is the wheel is no problem.........
Main problem is the power supply not enough for the wheel, because i am using the extension cord and supply to other device in the same time.
Last Night, I relocated all the device and i changed to the main power socket and turn on the wheel, nothiing any fault is happened............

Thank you all information and suggestion.....

Thanks for the update, glad your wheel is ok and it was just an overloaded power circuit.

I am assuming then that a faulty Power Supply could also cause 888 startup.

My first Fanatec wheel (Carrera) had 888 failure and was warranty replaced.
I had no alternative PS unit at the time to test with, now I think it might be a good idea to source an alternative PS unit with same specs to keep on hand.
