Hello,

Don't know how many people will agree with me, but I think that the sale of memory cards with 100% completion of Gran Turismo 3 on sites like Ebay.com is pretty reprehensible...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41061&item=3091247658&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I disencourage everyone who visits this site to buy or encourage others to buy this sort of thing, not least because it robs you of the joy of playing a great game.... some people are making a pretty tidy profit from this market, but I think it stinks personally!

I agree that it is a fairly clever and easy way of making a few bucks, but I also think that people should be dissuaded from doing it...

Actually, now that I've calmed down for a second (too much caffeine this morning!) and thought about it logically, maybe everyone should save their 100% complete games on new memory cards and put them up for sale on Ebay....?

That way, the folk who are trying to profit from this sort of thing will be find it very difficult to sell their warez (note the deliberate 'z'!), and be forced out of the market...? :-)

Because people are stupid.

Besides, why would you want to pay for someone elses save? Or download someone elses save, why even bother buying the game?

Good point, Turbosmoke, but an Xport will set you back more than a memory card.
apparently not...you can now pick up an Xport for 15 quid from some shops...a mem card is still about £20..

I bought my official mem card for 45 € and my X-port for 24 € postage included.

If you can get a mem card with some 100% completed saves already on for as cheap as $27, why bother ?
It can be a good way for someone who just cares about driving different cars on different tracks to discover the best racing game on PS2.

None of us (I mean the crazy guys like me, having GT1, GT2, GT3, GT Concept, GT Geneva 2004 and expecting GT4:P then GT4) would ever buy such a mem card but some people are not that addicted to GT...
...my wife for example

I don't think I could ever purchase one of those memory cards with the entire game 100% completed.Would have do all the driving and hard work myself just so I could tell myself that I did it.It feels alot better when you accomplish something on your own rather than cheating.

What is GT Geneva 2004???

How can you make much money out of it?
You spend 20 pound on a Memory card and then sell it for how much? Surely no-one would spend more than a few quid on a saved game.
I'm sure you coudl also track down someone inwork/school who atleast has a high completion level of the game.
