Hi, everyone! I'm Samurai, straight from the GT by the Numbers boards, and I figured I'd drop in on everyone here!

I'll mostly be in here as well as the online racing forum and the rumors area just trying to make more friends and doing my part to impart my wisdom and experience where I can.... :p

Here's a quick and dirty history on my GT career....

First saw GT1 at a local music/entertainment festival where Sony had a modified tractor-trailer with a lot of then-new games on display; immidiately fell in love with it despite not being a racing-gamer and purchased it 2 days afterwards....

Hooked up shortly thereafter with MiStErGrYm for a online racing team and have been at it in OLR ever since!

Grabbed GT2 the day it released, and bought a Plymouth Superbird(a.k.a., 'The car that Petty built') as soon as my credits allowed, and was in muscle-car heaven.... :D

Pounced on GT3 on it's release day here and still have the 'Decode and Drive' sweepstakes card here(it wasn't a winner)....

As for GT-Concept, assuming America gets one, and GT4...oh yeah, I'm there on opening day.... ;)

I'm currently at 98.8% completion in GT3 with 102 cars in my garage, and my fastest(non-hybrid and non-tuning quirks) car is a 265mph Speed-12.... Now, if I can just get those last few TimeTrials out of the way....who's crazy idea was it to make one of them on Complex String, anyway?!?! :D

Anyway, feel free to IM or ICQ me anytime!

Samurai - First off, welcome to GTP. :D

I recognize the name from GTbtN (I shortened the name down in my head -) I admit that GTbtN was one of the first GT sites I had stumbled across and I spent alot of time there (mostly lurking if I remember correctly) but it gave me plenty of info to get further in the game.

Now, I spend alot more time talking about the game than playing it, and the majority of the time I'm kickin' around here somewhere. You'll find the people for the most part friendly and 90% of them are actually literate as well.

:)

Hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome to GTPlanet, Samurai! Great to have you. :)

The Complex String Time Trial is one of the greatest things in the game. It is so difficult, and you think you'll never get there, but it IS possible and when you finally beat it you feel like you're on top of the world.

Welcome to the Planet! (:
