Wow, that video really brings back the sheer horror and sense of desperation of that weekend. Senna was most certainly hit by Barrichello's accident in free practice. After Ratzenberger's accident, he was devastated and did not want to race on Sunday. I think that is what the guy is talkling about and that this is what Adriane, Ayrton's girlfriend at the time, was talking about as he had called her several times that weekend. However, he knew he could not withdraw, being 20 points behind Schumi and having to live up to huge expectations of the combination Senna-Williams. The car was very nervous and he thought it was unsafe because of this. Schumi's Benetton was illegal, using TC, which forced Senna to push his Williams more than he wanted to. I personally think this is why Schumi does not want to talk about Senna and why he was crying and screaming "We killed him!" at Ross Brawn after the race. Schumi always tries to avoid talking about him and Monza 2000 shows what happens to him when he cannot.
