Separate time trial events for the 2J ??!!

Here's an idea - why not have separate time trials for the 2J race car? When I looked at who drove what car for the latest Nurbergring TT, it was screen after screen of 2J race cars. I finally gave up on finding the first NON 2J car time.

Not that I have anything against the 2J - I haven't even tried driving one yet. But it seems like soon after PD posts a TT, the threads start filling up about how so and so just set fast time in the 2J. I'd like to see how the rest of the cars stack up against one another.

Hmm, it would be better if they had more sophisticated filtering - but unfortunately, I doubt they ever will, especially with all the other things PD need to add to this game content and feature wise.

I too am on the hunt for a 2J, what I've decided to do now, is every time I see a car in the UCD I don't own, I buy it, even if I don't want it, even if its hundreds of thousands or millions, and I'm hoping the game will keep giving me cars that I don't have out of each new 6, and I can't say for sure that it's worked, but basically every 6 I still see 2-3 cars I don't own on average, so it might be working. Also, I have a friend who lets me borrow his :D

I didn't look at the cars others used until after I tried it with the R33tc dlc car. Gold first try but way off the top time.
! 2J on one of two acct's.
My present struggle is Spa.

I believe that the ucd follows one of two pre-set lists, and don't stray from that list :(
 
PD should just program the 2j to exlode, at random points during the lap.
A "You have died seasonal troll", message should then appear on the
user/losers screen :)
Shame points should then be added to the players profile.
 
i think they should limit the time trials to ONE specific car, so everyone gets the same chances.. It would also be more interesting...

Exactly! Or just get rid of that damn power limiter for any seasonal
 
The 2J's PP-number is just way too low. It probably just measures the aerodynamical downforce from the bodywork, but not the downforce from the fan that sucks it onto the road.

Unfortunately, that ruins a lot of TT's.

I also refused to try with the heavily downtuned 2J, and went with the black R8 LMS-car. The car has 599PP stock. Got inside the top 2000 with a 6:30 and am happy with it.

One of the updates a couple months ago (maybe the big 1300mb one?) changed the pp rating to factor in the downforce of the fan. It's too bad that you can't change the strength of the fan. :(
