I know I have asked a lot of questions , but this is one of the last of them.

I tried connecting to my PS3 on the weekend (including Friday) every single two hours, and every time it came up with a 'server error code ID=2:2147459071'. I only recently made my PSN account (last Friday) and i have not once been able to log into it.

I have tried restarting the internet and PS3 and everything, the PS3 website doesn't say it anywhere either.

Pleassseeee help.

Few things could be wrong-
Your accounts DOB could be to low.
Restrictions on your internet stopping you from connecting.
Problem with your actual PS3 (the thing inside that connects to the internet, can't remember what's its called)

If you haven't already try connecting your ps3 to your hub via Ethernet cable if your trying wireless. If you can take it round someone else's house to try it on their internet would be good or call Sony.

Hope this helps.

I made DOB to 1992, I've tried wireless and ethernet, not a restriction, it connected to another game once before, so its not the PS3.

BUT, I think it is because i live in a pretty bad area, lots of units and lots of people, and i have not connected my PS3 to internet since using it. But I made a PSN account just recently, so it might not be the internet... -.- I'll try as soon as I get home from school on Friday, it might be because too many people are going on at once in my area.

I will also try connecting to a friends internet as you suggested. Cross your fingers, hope it works.

Lol at school using GTP, good man :) I'll look around online for you to see if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it.

EDIT: just looked online and only 2 results on Google :[ only other thing i can think of is to put your ps3 in recovery mode.
1. Turn on ps3
2. Hold power button down until it turns off.
3. Hold power button down until it turns on and back off.
4. Hold power button down until you hear a few beeps.

Then just choose restart ps3.

Yeah, I've looked all around as well... I will try that though. Thanks :)

I came across this thread because I had the same code when I was loading up GT5. When I checked, I was still logged into PSN so I carried on loading up the game. I got to the 'My Home' screen and it gave me the online awards and I could do the seasonal events and everything, so I guess its working O.K.
I'm not saying this is the same with you but I guess just try it and see.

Hope this works and thanks for sharing so I had something to find.

Hey i got that same error code when i booted up gt5 today also. as to what it is i have no idea. Same thing like you jake it said the error in the begining but when i got to my home it was fine, really odd

clear cache in the network settings in the options menu on GT

Same code coming up here

Same problem. Was working (GT5 server) all day- then I got some connection error, but was still signed into PSN. Just the GT server affected?

I received the same code about 2:30 est. but it resolved itself a few minutes later. I had cleared the cache but not positive that was the issue.

Error message today could be due to PSN maintenance that is ongoing. Shouldn't affect online gaming but you never know when it comes to this stuff.

Clearing the cache seemed to work for me, I'd just give it some time.

I just encountered the same code.
Reset my PS3 and it was Ok again.

I also got the same error today, reseting the game fixed it.

look at your ingame clock, and then look at the actual time

problem solved

had just that with a mate yesterday

My clock was accurate, that wasn't the problem yesterday.

One thing I noticed recently, with my PS3 FAT, is , always turn it ON with the gamepad.
Whenever I turn it on manually via the console touch button, it either lacks sound in GT5 loading, or I get network errors.

use the gamepad to turn it on.
