As some of you may have noticed, after our successful server move, posts are hopping and skipping around, and showing up out of the correct order that they should appear in the threads. This is because I forgot to reset the clock on the new server until just now. Unfortunately, there is really nothing I can do about it for now, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Just stick it out and it should eventually stop occuring within the next few hours. You may also notice that the "new posts" will also be out of order.

Oh, and if you're looking for the first thread I made about our successful server move...sorry, I accidently deleted it. :O

Well, I've only had that first thing that came up (My post became first in the thread :odd: ), so hopefully it'll just be fine like it has for my last few posts.

Congrats on the move Jordan. This is the first time I have been able to get onto the site in about two days. All day long today especially, the site wouldn't load at all.

Hopefully now we wont have anymore DB errors?

I noticed something strange earlier today. Whenever i tried to get here by using the link in my favorites, i kept on seeing a message about a thingie i'm not too sure about, as seen in the attachment.

I had to ask for a link from another member so i could get here, it's like the already existing link i had didn't exist anymore. Is that due to the server move?

Glad to see the site up and running again. The time is still a little off, but I'm sure it is going to right it self soon.

A lot of details have come out about GT4 since two days ago, and I made a new post about them in the Rumor & Speculation forum if anyone is interested. It's titled GT4 Spoilers! A Day At Playstation Experience. Do NOT read it if you don't want GT4 spoiled for you.

Are new posts being recorded at all? The New Posts page shows no new posts in the past 2 hours (and I've refreshed it).

This server clock problem is starting to get me down... JORDAN GET YOUR ARSE ONLINE AND FIX IT!! :grumpy:

But anyway, well done on an successful move. Long live GTP! :)

Well the clock is OK as of right now. I can't do anything about the posts that were made before I fixed it.

Fair enough, that makes sense.

The first time it happened was fairly strange. I posted my reply and suddenly there were 3 replies below it, none of which could possibly have been posted in the time-frame allowed.

Weird happenings Jordan, what are you doing to this site? :nervous:

Well, I'm trying just trying to keep it running! The site couldn't have stayed on our old server much longer. These are just some growing (or should I say moving) pains, made worse by a inexperienced server administrator... :O

Well don't feel too badly about it, we all support you. :p

At least you're not one of those administrators who say "there's your site, now go away and leave me alone". You come out and play with us inferiors, so well done to you! :)

I had the same thing. I always type forums.gtplanet.net instead of www.gtplanet.net/forums, but I guess I'll have to break that habit.

So it's still doing that post thing?

well, um, cool. Glad the server is up, but I'm still curious as to one bit of info; why doesn't the site respond to my pings?

I can ping the server just fine...

Code:
Pinging gtplanet.net [69.57.156.7] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 69.57.156.7: bytes=32 time=67ms TTL=45
Reply from 69.57.156.7: bytes=32 time=64ms TTL=45
Reply from 69.57.156.7: bytes=32 time=64ms TTL=45
Reply from 69.57.156.7: bytes=32 time=65ms TTL=45

Ping statistics for 69.57.156.7:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 64ms, Maximum = 67ms, Average = 65ms

well, yeah, it's your server, you should be able to ping it without a problem. But I have a 100% loss (it's a wonder I can even view the page...
Code:
Pinging gtplanet.net [69.57.156.7] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 69.57.156.7:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Recieved = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

Hooray! GTP is back! [dances]

Nice to see you straightened everything out, Jordan. The final boss of Server Move is quite difficult. ;)

Huh...I couldn't get on until this afternoon. I wonder why...

I heard that certain network backbones wre going to disable ping and tracert ports because of the recent virus attacks against Windoz boxes.

Could be related., that doesn't mean that data packets arn't getting delivered.
