Is it just my connection or is anyone else being disconnected from the server mid-race like once every 5 or so races ??????

Thanks in advance

In Prologue, one of the drivers is the server (or host), automatically chosen by the system. If that driver leaves the race because he realizes he won't win, the race ends for everybody. Unfortunately, it's a common problem in this game, and there are too many idiots not noticing that when they leave, they probably spoil a great race for the others.

I hate this phenomena as well... Racing the race of your life... and then POOF... youre disconnected... It REALLY irritates me... so all you idiots please STOP!!!!

I gotta say, Sony should place in a lock for those that are servers for races, I can say right now in the past 5 races I just raced, I got disconnected from 4 of them. All which were midway through the race too. . . .

I dont thing it's always the "host" fault Sony picks the host: I'm a host way too much the reason I say that is when I'm the host the race will start with 12 drivers, by the time the cars are in the first turn it sometimes drops to somewhere between 6-9 drivers and sometimes after that first turn it's down to 1-3 drivers thats counting myself. I never quit as long as they are at least 2 drivers but when it reads 1/1 it's not fun because you spend 5 mins. racing around the track and no credits. I ran a race to see what happened at the end and it didn't even say "You Won" .

Sorry about that, just testing to see if I could make
a link, haven't done it before.

I can remove it If you want?

Its fine, you obviously didnt read through all the information upon joining GTP. (dont worry if im honest i didnt read it through fully myself and got into some trouble)

1) Don't post twice in succession (known as double posting), if the last post was yours, use the edit button to avoid double posting (unless your previous post was some time ago.
2) Instead of posting your test, when not using quick reply (ie using advanced post) you can press 'preview post' which is located next to submit reply, you can then view your own post how everyone else will see it when you hit submit post.
3) Post should be in the topic of the thread :)

Welcome to GTP, if you have any questions, message myself or better still a forum moderator.
