Servers down in Aus??

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else is getting the cannot contact the server message? has been happening for a few days now and i cant understand why?

it is happening on both accounts, i am signed in and online in both too.

Any hints or tips or ideas why this is happening?

it's getting to the point now where i dont think it is "normal" for GT. starting to get worried about losing data or YLOD.

I know this isn't answering your question, but I live in Melbourne and getting the same treatment. Maybe the Australian server just isn't any good.
 
I am unable to answer your question as well, but last night I was playing GT5 and experienced no connection problems whatsoever. Not sure what time you guys are normally attempting to connect online but last night around 7 - 8pm QLD time was perfectly fine for me.

They have a rubbish internet connection so it won't connect.:sly: Unlike the actual PSN, a lot of games seem to have servers which "time out" pretty quickly, so the slower your ping and connection speed is the more problems you'll have.

I get the odd cannot connect message when the internet is in heavy use but my internet is good enough and so it will connect the next time I try. If your internet isn't so good you probably won't be able to do anything else online at the same time as the PS3, as it won't connect to the game's servers quickly enough and you'll get the failed to connect message.

In the UK, been having similar problems... maybe they're updating something

worked fine up until a few days ago
 
I had this problem as well. I just quit the game and load it up again and it works.

I haven't touched the game for about 3 weeks now so not sure if that'll work lol.

Give it a try I guess... You don't have much to lose doing it :)
 
Its fine over in Perth. but i havent checked in a while.
 
well its not my internet connection because i am on cable and it has been working fine until a few days ago.

i cant connect no matter what i seem to try. and i have been trying to connect at around 4pm which should be small load time.

i guess i will keep trying, but going to be annoying when WRS starts and i cant gift the cars from one account to my GTP account.
 
All good here in Melbourne for me I am on dodo adsl2+ 3TB plan PS3 connected to wireless router. Occasionally get disconnects and unable to connect message not often though.
