Servers Down?

I've tried a few times now to play GT5 for the last hour, and each time, I have to sit through a 10-20 min wait fest for it to tell me it cannot reach the server.

I tried several other games to make sure it wasn't my PS3, and was wondering if anyone else is getting this issue.

I worked for me when I was on about a hour ago.
 
was having a few probs(for the first time) last night, not tried today though
 
I've never experienced any network problems of any kind ever since I got the game. Just the occasional bit of lag when playing online, but that's just because other players lag, not me.

I think it's to do with your Internet connection. Mine is a stable connection with speeds upto 14 Mbps.
 
I can assure you, it's not my internet. ;)

I can play all other games just fine, and it logs on to the net with no issues.

When I load up GT5, it just hangs on the intro screen for 10 minutes, and then says, Server cannot be found, then goes to the main screen where it hangs again for 10 minutes and says the same thing.

When I finally get to the GT life screen, it hangs again for 10 minutes until I get the message again.

It does this with any profile I try it with, and as I said, GT5 is the only game this is happening with. :(

Hey,

same problem now here (Germany). I was in the online lobby, went through the different lounges, found a couple I liked, couldn't join any.

Finally signed out of PSN (which turned out to be a bit of a mistake), and now I can't sign in again. (Internet is fine, PS3 can access web sites etc.)

Error code now is 80710b23, which seems mean that the PSN servers are either down or overloaded.

Let's hope it is just temporarily...

EDIT: I see a few others are having this problem in the Online racing board as well.

I'm having problems too (Italy here), GT5 was stuck at the loading screen and it made me think the worst :( Just disconnected myself from the PSN now :)
 
Make it stop! :nervous: Need to run a very important qualification tonight!
 
Maybe the replays from leaderboards will be fixed.
 
I have been online and when I change psn accounts it says I am not signed into the network; then asks that I sign in to the network.

I do sign in and then works fine; until I switch psn accounts. Repeat process...

My guess is PSN are soing maintenance, or something; no biggie
 
My PSN logs on and am able to get into online lobby, load room and race.
 
Same here, cant access PSN or play online, i live in Sweden. Probably some server issues
 
Some carriers in Europe are having problems, it seems - it's affecting way more than just PSN and the likes. Yet, it's better now, it seems.
 
and here (Uk) cant sign into psn glad im not the only one :crazy:
 
In Sweden its still problems.
 
Alright, went to the shop and bought 3 new PS3 just to check if its the hardware which fails.... but no success all of my PS3s wont let me connect to PSN.

.....

What I want to tell here is that I will never understand why these software developers are not able to implement a simple function which checks for avaiability of the Playstation Network and give us a proper message ?

I'm on fibre 100/100 and I have been disconnected from various rooms tonight.
 
have been dissconeced after every 3 hours last 3 days.. and many times cant connect to friends or open lobby..
 
Try to clear the cashe in networks settings in gt5 options, i did that and suddenly i could play online again. But it has been some problems with the servers the recent weeks for sure. The disconnection is due to many factors, not necersarly your internet conecyion, but the hosts, or the people in the room

Treid that still cant get into any lobbies, but psn seems to be working ok.
 
anyone that wasnt able to get on are you able now? my room list is still showing as 0, even when i set region to all.
