Servers Last Night - 1/200/Glitch/$$$

Hi All,

I was appalled last night at the amount of online servers set up just to take advantage of the latest glitch.

Is it just me or are there now more of these types of servers than ever?

I must have counted at least 25 servers advertising big $$$, 200 lap, glitch races.

Wish PS/PD would do something about it

and how does this glitch affect your game play??? do you go into these rooms? if not then who cares? lol
 
I'm really happy about this! I don't have the time to dedicate the ridiculous grind time this game needs to get decent credits. I have a wife, job etc.
 
Nah man your not the only one. I noticed it last night too. The other day when i first heard about it there was 2 japanese rooms doing it then last night when I was on I saw about 10 or so lol. I've done it a couple times with friends and it's ok I guess. It gets you money fast but it sucks tapping the throttle and turning in circles for 20 mins. I do the auto a spec grind with the X1 when I go to sleep at night every now and then, it takes longer to get money(a million hour), but you just turn it on and wake up the next morning with 12+ million. That's easier to me.
 
you only counted 20? i had a full page for SSr7 of 100 and pretty much all of them were doing 200 lap races..

and no one just randomly does 200 lap races lol

i've done it a couple of times. you can use the auto grind theory :) put the gears in automatic and use a band or piece of paper and hold the anologue stick to the right..

i only do it in a lounge though with friends i dont wanna plague the servers and show others
 
indeed.. i couldnt care less to be honest.. those who do care have to be slated!.. its a little glitch in the game that shouldnt be there.. it is nice to gain money for nothing yes but at the end of the day i have level 37 with nothing to do... its just to kill time and laugh at :)
 
I was going to bring up the same issue. On the NA servers (or whatever that selection means) about 25% of the rooms last night were for the glitch. Today it has been between 35 and 40%. Yes I counted. It's an epidemic and I hope they patch the hole in the wall soon.

Some say how does this affect your gameplay? Well WE NOW HAVE TO WADE THROUGH THESE TRASH ROOMS WHILE LOOKING FOR REGULAR RACE ROOMS. Those who hold these rooms continue to list their rooms under "racing for fun or real" so we can't filter them out. At one point I wished I could filter out all route 7 races. Also all those players are fixated on CR and XP and leading new players to the boring grinding side of GT5 instead of actually racing. The rubberband grinding method is much faster and doesn't interfere with online play. You wait and see: when they patch this they will mention "disruption to online play".

no.. you can do it offline. they will take away the glitch & replace the track in an update

When I said PD will mention "disruption to online play" I meant that they will claim that the reason for patching the glitch was because those exploiting it had been "disrupting online play", not that PD would disrupt online play when fixing it.
