I am having some serious trouble getting the gold lap times in GT5P. what do you do to get those times. I got the gold trophy for the Nissan GT-R on high speed ring. But have trouble getting the gold trophy with the Suzuki time trial, Lancer Evo time trial. One thing I do (I call it the hot wheels technique) is go close to the outer edge of the curve and allow the car to rub against the wall, unless there is grass there. Please give me yur BEST technique, I realyy want all golds.

My technique would be to avoid the walls and try and slipstream off the other cars, but that can be tricky on suzuka.
Good luck ;)

Almost ALL the time, wall riding isn't the quickest way round.

Put the 'driving line' feature on, learn the braking points and make sure you're hitting ALL the apex's and getting maximum acceleration OUT of the corners, not INTO the corners. You've got to be fast and smooth.

If youre trying to wall ride I'm gonna guess that you have all the aids on as well. If thats the case start practicing with out the aids you'll be faster, and stay off the walls this aint ridge racer.

doesn't anyone else have any suggestions

You can tune the F40 for Suzuka. Don't know if it fits your style but here's the tuning that I golded with:

Power-427
Weight-1189kg
Ride height: Front (-13) Rear (-14)
Spring rate: Front (8) Rear (9)
Dampers: front and rear set at 8
Toe: Front (0.00) Rear (-0.05)
Camber angle +/- front (3.5) Rear (2.2)
Brake balance: Front (5) Rear (7)
Max. Turning angle: 50
ABS: 10
TCS: 2

Transmission: Gear Ratio

Ist Gear 2.750
2nd Gear 1.750
3rd Gear 1.230
4th Gear 0.970
5th Gear 0.770

Final Gear 4.158

Stay aggressive but clean and draft when possible. Finished almost a second ahead of that black devil.

This may sound weird but I can't customize cars for some reason.:indiff: It's either because I don't know how, or it's not allowed in the American version. And there might be confusion between Suzuki and Suzuka I mean SUZUKI as in the car company.

Have you cleared C, B and A classes (got at least Bronze in each event)? When you do that, the Quick Tune menu is available on the last menu before the race starts, next to Driving Options.

I know what you're talking about its the event C-3, take a look at this video, it helped me allot. My time after a few practices was 1:37.6xx :)
