Alright I'm about to start the European Event, 1000! Miles. I have selected to use the 427 AC car since it is usually on the classic races and smokes everybody else. I searched to find settings for the AC but couldn't find any so sorry if they do exist. I was just needing to find out the best settings for the car for this tournament. And if someone recomends another car let me know. Thanks

Great car!

I usualy run mine mostly stock. Just learn to feather the throttle to keep from melting the tires. Getting the fuly adjustable trans will help out too. Set it to 15 and the car will peak at the same place at red line in 4th. But you will have 5th grat to take you well over 170 on the straights.

Being honest, that car will absolutely smoke the competition. Tires too.
I would chose something with a little better tire wear, otherwise you will be in the pits alot.

I would suggest the Ginetta G4 1964 , the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe 1954, Jaguar E-Type Coupe 1961 or the Lotus Elan S1 1962.

All of which you can walk away from the competition, and spend less time in the pits.

thanks i'll try the lotus elans since i just won that car. i'm attempting to beat the whole game with just a-spec, i am so far 65% done and have already done all the long endurance races, missions, so i just have all the small races and extreme left. so some time i will join the 100000 a spec points and 100% completion

Rep... Great advice ParagonGT. 👍

Regarding which cars are best for this series- I'd say something other than the Cobra.
I only say that because the Cobra really will use tires fast.
My suggestion is specifically the Jaguar E-type. You can max out the power and leave everything stock but it will still handle well. Can't beat that. 👍 (may need a transmission for the extra gear but I don't recall)
I used the Jag for my run on this series and it was great.

Regarding settings for the Cobra.
Being that you've got to run The Ring, Opera, Cote, and Sarthe, I'm going to suggest ideas to look for in your final settings (even if you are just picking from what is posted)...
Go with low camber and no toe, then add a strong limited slip diff. Those are going to help tire wear and provide grip (respectively).

Good luck with your racing and if I see that no one has posted settings with those concepts I may be able to get back here and post some for you. :ouch:
Till next time,

btw, another great car for that would be the old 2000gt Toyota. That thing is really well balanced just like the E-type jag, only difference is the 20000gt can be purchased from toyota (the jag is a prize car).

Thank ya!

I was going to post my settings for the G4, but became distracted when I started thumbing through my garage. I'll have to do that tonight when I get outa work.

thanks i'll try the lotus elans since i just won that car.

I recently won another on Elan. I sold off the first few because I received some nasty colored ones.

When I did the 1000 Miles! race I used the G4. It was a good little car. Like I mentioned above, I'll post my settings for it later.

When I compaired my stock Elan against a stock G4. The Elan came out ahead by quite a bit. I'm sure that it will be a blast to take all 100 miles.

Hey thanks for the advice, i choose the Lotus Elan (dijan mustard color). All I did to it was put sh tires on it and the extra gear. My best lap with a 104hp car was 8'59.569. That was on the "the ring". I'm gonna start the opera paris this week just have a lot of mid-terms. why does school have to get in the way of Gran Turismo?
