Settings for Event S-1: Lotus Elise 111R /Tuned

Hey guys,

I was having an immense amount of trouble obtaining gold on event S-1, so I'm posting the tuning setup I used in the hopes that someone will find it useful.

Note that I know next to nothing about tuning cars, so this is mostly just a collection of settings cobbled together from around this forum. I'm sure someone can come up with a better setup than this.

Car: Lotus Elise 111R /Tuned

Driving Options:
Transmission: Automatic (AT)
Active Steering: Strong
Driving Physics: Standard
Active Stability Management (ASM): On
Driving Line: On

Quick Tune:
Power (HP): 248 (0)
Weight (kg): 793 (115)
Tires: R1; R1
Aerodynamics: 15; 25

Performance Points: 629/630 pt

Ride Height (mm): -15; -15
Spring Rate: 5; 7
Damper: 3; 7
Toe (OUT / IN): -0.25; +0.50
Camber Angle: 1.0; 0.5
Brake Balance: 3; 5
F/R Torque Distribution: -; -
Max Turning Angle: 40
Traction Control: Off (it was causing liftoff oversteer)
ABS: 3

Transmission: (This is quite important for this event)
1st Gear: 2.689
2nd Gear: 1.822
3rd Gear: 1.355
4th Gear: 1.161
5th Gear: 0.929
6th Gear: 0.815
Final Gear: 5.067


Hope this helps anyone who is having trouble with this event. Keep in mind that even with these settings, it was really close; I had a full lap of fending off the computer player in 2nd place. :scared:

Why can't i adjust the aerodynamics on my vehicle?
 
I haven't logged in to this site for over a year now. But I had to just now because I was ready accept the S-2 race at Daytona as impossible. But then I saw this set-up. I tweaked the sixth gear ratio and added one point of downforce to front and rear and I beat it on my second try--got first place! You've saved my controller and my copy of GT5P from a violent and potentially fiery death.

Now I'm gonna go back and get 1st place on the S-1 race!

I great setting ROXA but I use 4.450 for my final gear and with my driving style it was a better suit. I ran 1.11 best lap on the first try, finish 1st so would probably never touch this race again lol
 
I noticed that you guys used automtic transmission... I can use pretty much similar tunes or the same tunes as manual tranny, right? Thanks guys
 
I won S1 so easy with this setup of s2k2k3:

S1 - High Speed Ring - 700PP

Tuned Clio - This car rapes this event. It's so much faster than the AI cars that it's a joke.

Manual Transmission, shift near the rev limit.
Power: +25%
Weight: 85%
Tires: R1 (Event Specified)
Aero: Rear 14
Height: -6 -6
Springs: 4 4
Dampers: 5 5
Toe: +0.06 +0.30
Camber: 1.4 0.8
Brakes: 6 3
Max Turn: 40
ABS: off (a setting of 1 can be used for a slight reduction in speed, but a big increase in stability)
TCS: off

Gears:
1: 2.712
2: 1.716
3: 1.334
4: 1.087
5: 0.909
6: 0.761
F: 4.072

So if still fail with the Lotus you give the Clio with this setup a chance ;)
