Settings for Fanatec for PS3/GT5

I am thinking of buying a Fanatec wheel and pedal set to replace my G25 and a buddy of mine has let me borrow his to check it out. However, I would like to know if anyone has a particular setup that would offer the best performance and give me a real idea of how good/bad the Fanatec wheels are. The actual wheel I am borrowing is the Porsche 911 Turbo with the aluminum pedal set.
