It seems that a high ride height doesn't affect the effectivity of your acceleration and brakes, or does it actually? The game says that it only affects the gravity center of your car. I'm saying this because I have tuned my fave rally car to it's max high ride height, at +40/+40 because I have noticed that it's stance looks good that way. However, since I have witnessed that having too high ride height will make your car unresponsive, what I did was adjust my LSD settings, specifically acceleration and braking sensitivity, I adjusted it higher, both originally from 25/25 to 35/35 and my initial torque is still the same at 40/40. Also, since low ride height cars have better maneuverability, I maximized my downforce at its maximum, 15/35 for my 4WD rally car. Now, I don't know if I did this right but any suggestions would be appreciated if there is something not appropriate in this setup.

It seems that ride height in GT5 does not affect cars in a realistic manner. When it came to top speed, the cars are actually a little faster with the nose up, which is not how it works in reality.

Also, acceleration and braking are less effected by ride height since a car is longer than it is wide, and the body will move around less compared to cornering.

I find it always faster to lower the ride height. I can take any car and do a lap than reduce the ride height and stiffen the suspension a tiny bit and always get at least 2 seconds faster. Only time it's not as good is if there top speed runs like the other guy mentioned. That kind of varies per car tho.

Well guys, I just reduced the ride height a little, though it's still not less than zero at +20/+30. This one should improve my front tire grip a little and also lessened the center gravity of my car while maintaining it's good stance. I'm not sure about the way it handles because I do not have a steering wheel to test and feel it correctly. I used to lower the ride height of my car before at -70/-60 because I saw this tune for the same car that I have but when I did it, I noticed that, since it's lowered, it looks like it will bump on to the ground and the upper of the tires of my car we're totally inside in the wheel wells, especially the front tires! And so did not look good in my car, especially with dirt tires.

When I did that, I adjusted my spring rate about 12.5/13.5 based on that tune but after lifting my car high to have a good looking stance, I have set it to 13/14, though I'm not sure if this is right and this also includes camber compression and extension, which are set to 8/8 and 6/7, respectively.

The problem with this is there are now two variables. More than that really if you adjust the dampers with the springs and camber, etc. Yes, you should definitely adjust all of these things together, but since more than one thing was touched there isn't any way to determine which had what effect.
