Severe Lag

Oh man, after the first turn at LRP in the MX-5 I couldn't keep the car on the road. 25 mph and I couldn't make the corner. I was cutting more grass then actual racing. đź‘Ž

What's a person suppose to do? I spent a bunch of time getting repaired then I would come back out and the lag put me back into the wall. So frustrating I had to quit. BTW it's the first time I seen this, my FPS were at 95-100 but it felt more like 5 FPS. :ouch:
 
i also felt some lag spike over the weekend.
 
I've never had lag give that effect in iRacing. If your connection isn't good enough you'll be disappearing to the other players. Were any of the bars on the in-game FPS/Network box spiking?
 
I was getting a steady 95-100 FPS which is down from my normal 100-140ish with dual GTX 570 in SLI. The only thing I can think of was it is server related. Over half the field disconnected.

Also it was a late race, 2:30 am and I think it might have been a European server but not 100% sure. I have never had any connection issues in the past and today every thing is great. BTW there were no bars spiking in the FPS/Network box.
 
yep. lag for me too, i thought it was just me Darren, getting spiked especially the f1rst turn and fourth turn on LRP whenever there are more than 3 skips, within 2-3 seconds infront, lags and almost causing accidents, where sometimes I have to slow down heaps .

This has happened heaps recently after the NTM was introduced.

LOL! yes you hit it on the head!

First turn, especially at the start it was such a pain, you'd be coming out of the turn with 2 people ahead of you and lag kicks in and your just peeing your pants...

I got the EXACT same issue. damit..I thought it was my video card and I ended up switching all the stuff off...now I might put it back on given that it seems everyone is having the issue...

does anyone know if iracing has been informed of this issue? Surely if 3 of us experienced this then its not to do with our net connection.
 
I think this happens from time to time, a complete cluster****
