Is x port the same thing as Sharkport ??

Xport and Sharkport do the exact same thing, but the Sharkport is what is needed if you are a NTSC user. (North America.) A Xport is what is needed if you are a PAL user. (The rest of the known world.)

Yeah but recently they started making NTSC versions of X-Ports for the US...

Correct. I was in Best Buy on Friday and I saw that they had X-ports in their PS2 section.
