Engine: 427ci dual-supercharged V8
Power: 800 HP
Transmission: 3-speed automatic
0-60 mph: ~3.0 sec.
Top speed: 200 mph
Built to be "The Cobra to end all Cobras", this horsepower hungry machine could hit speeds of 200 mph. Only 2 examples of this car were ever produced, one of these was given to famous comedian Bill Cosby, but due to the cars tough handling at high speeds, Cosby returned the car to Shelby. After being shipped to San Fransisco, a new customer named Tony Maxey bought the car. He too suffered the same handling problems as Cosby, and ended up driving it off a cliff into the Pacific Ocean. The original model was kept by Carroll Shelby himself as a personal car and on January 22nd, 2007, the car was sold on the Barrett Jackson auction block and sold for $5 million plus commission, which set a record for a U.S. made vehicle.
