That's right; I'm suggesting the original Shelby GT500 Super Snake, the real one! It's one of the most expensive Mustangs on the planet, being sold at an auction for 1.3 million dollars. It's also very powerful for the time aswell, with the use of the same V8 that's used in the Ford GT40; it puts out 600 hp and was capable or reaching 170 mph when Carroll Shelby drove it.

I have to say, it's quite an impressive pony car. All the more reason why I feel this GT500 would make an excellent addition to the Gran Turismo franchise.

The first OP pic makes the car look odd for some reason. Don't know why though...

600 horsepower with tires that thin? I don't even want to think about that
Yeah, it's kinda the reason that this GT500 got held back from reaching it's top speed after first being run by Carroll Shelby. It could only do 170 mph for the first couple runs before the tires wore out and then could only do 140-150 mph afterwards apparently.

Though, I would love to see how well it would do with wider tires.
