Shelby? Lamborghini?

If you look in the back of the manual for the US version, it lists 3 different Shelbys. Would anyone mind telling me why I can't play a little 'Gone in 60 Seconds' on GT3?

Also, on https://www.gtplanet.net/gt3/carlist.htm , it shows that the Lamborghini Diablo is available. Is this a complete lie? I've never seen a Diablo listed for any special winnings and it's definatley not listed in the dealerships.
 
find my thread near the top about the lambi's. only the Japanese version has it
 
There is a shelby cobra made by the company shelby but there are no GT-500's made by Ford Mustang in the game. I must admit I was hoping of getting a mustang and using it for every race but then I discovered how cheap the only one was and how good the F1 cars so I've completely forgotten about it.
