Gents,

as you may now already know, the Fast and Furious DLC for Forza Motorsport 6 will feature the Terradyne Gurkha F5, an humongous armored vehicle powered by a 400hp diesel V8.

Finally, Turn 10 has recognized the need for a reconnaissance vehicle in their mainstay title, and answered our prayers with a 9-ton slab of engine and steel plates. I can only rejoice at their decision.... But.

What do you say we organize a friendly, yet fiercely competitive event in these guys before jumping into the real racing action? An event that will serve us to steel our nerves by facing our worst fears - rain, night, and the Nordschleife?

The idea is simple. Three back-to-back two-lap races, all around the most infamous circuit there is. One will be in the sun; one will be drenched in rain, and one will be in the dark of the night. Each race scored, and the guy with the most points at the end of the three races takes it all.

Also, appropriate number tabs and stickers to give your Gurkha DAT RACECAR LOOK would be provided, if the vehicle itself will be paintable.

So, what do you say, guys? The idea is to race either Saturday 26th or Sunday 27th September, starting no later than 9pm GMT.

Okay, there's definitely some interest here and over at the Forza Racing Network's Facebook page. I'm quite optimistic about numbers, if we can find a time and a date that would be ok with everybody, we could maybe twelve... Cars on the grid, before opening the eventual thread in the fm.net's appropriate section after launch day.

I'm thinking September 26th or 27th would be an agreeable date (as it would be a Saturday or a Sunday). As for the time, I wouldn't start too late - we don't know yet how long will it take to complete a lap of the 'ring in the Gurkha, but 12 minutes in the dry could be what it takes in 9 tons of military ruggedness. So, we'd be racing for about 1 1/2 hours. How about 8 pm GMT?

Also, we could always organize a test night; if anything, to make sure there won't be a corner which will turn into a graveyard of Gurkhas parked on one side.

In the meanwhile, if you intend to commit to this, I'd like to ask you for your Gamertag and preferred racing number.

P.S: no. 666 is already taken. Sorry, guys.

I can't make it on the 26th since I'll be out of town for the day, but the 27th would work. 👍

LImarobotL - #79

Day might still be iffy for me, but I should have no money on that day so I'm likely good to go

Oh this sounds like a blast. I suck at time zones, but I'm pretty sure that puts me at 4PM here on the east coast of the US, so I'm game for the 27th.

TheRealJFrizze - #81 but since I missed the sign up post I guess I'll go with #21

According to Google it's 4pm EDT. Which is good because that means I can sleep a few hours after getting off work

I can't do the 27th because it would be 6/7am on the Monday after.
If it's the 26th, i could do it.

I can't do that weekend at all, I'll be out of town. If that's when works for everyone else, I will just pull out. Maybe I can do the test session at least though!
