For those of you who are using a wheel and pedals, who plays without their shoes?

I got into the habit of playing bare feet straight away and I find it impossible to play with shoes on now. To be fair the DFGT pedals have hardly any resistance and it's much easier to feel them that way in my opinion.

Socks. That way you don't have to worry about sweaty feet changing the grip level of the pedals .

I feel better to use my G27 with shoes, I dont know, It's a bit easier to press the pedals that way in my opinion and I dont hurt my feet from trying new (A.k.a: Stupid) tricks.

I think it will be pretty funny at the national finals seeing most people taking their shoes of to play a game :)

I use socks with my G27, I tried using my shoes but I couldn't feel the pedals well, less than in a real car..

The only downside for me about using just socks is heel-toe downshifting in GT5P often hurts my right foot, but I'm a big boy so its no big deal lol.

Dont wear shoes in the house, so it depends on whether ill wear shoes or flipflops outside... socks or bare feet!

Socks.

But I do have a pair of racing shoes I use for real track days that are flexible and light enough to use if I choose.

It's slippery with socks for me.

I usually play barefoot, or, i use these five finger running shoes :D

Yep barefoot here also! with socks on my feet slip off the pedals at the crucial times and without they stick like glue basically 👍

Eugh :yuck:

When I had a wheel, I was too heavy-footed in shoes/trainers, but found that with normal socks I slipped off the pedals too much. The solution came in the form of "slipper socks", things like these:

Maximum feel, maximum grippage, minimum pedal sweatage ;)

I got a DFGT and I always use socks, I've tried a few times with shoes like all-stars but by now i'm used to use socks and i don't get the right feeling with shoes.

I used to go with socks, but the G25's metal pedals are cold on the feet, so I added rubber padding to them, but this took away some feel.

So i decided to buy a pair of trainers with the thinest soles I could find, removed the rubber from the pedals and all is well, loads of feel and my feet don't get cold :)

I am using the socks but after our weekend house parties there is lot of pedal cleaning after shoes of my friends

Socks for me, and yes they'll be out if I make the finals

Either that or a nice pair of thin racing shoe-like things.

All the best
Maz
