Shoot me! I've had to resort to B-Spec

Haven't been playing a lot of GT5 lately - only the seasonal races when they get refreshed. So the next events come up and I see that Ferrari challenge. 12.5 million credits later I've got the F1 car, but WTF? You can only use it for that event and some hot laps? Can't sell the darn thing and the credits you get back in the seasonal event are paltry. The racing in GT5 is too easy and repetitive (the AI was no challenge in the Ferrari challenge...) that it just bores the snot out of me right now. I'm having to resort to the mindless B-spec to recoup my wasted credits.

Please let the next update include performance indices for the AI cars. I need something to grasp at instead of this ridiculous B-spec! Only thing more boring than the A-spec right now is B-spec.
 
It you use sports or comfort tyres then the race would be more of a challenge.
 
Tetris on my phone is actually better than GT5!
 
Rubber Band Grind! I've made 20mill since yesterday then spent all of that and now made another 5 mill while playing F1 2010 on my XBox so I get the best of both worlds. LOL

It sounds to me like you are bored of the game. So why play it at all?

I also want to try this with the FGT Championship.
Use Sport tyres to win.

Sport and Comfort tyres don't cost that much at all... after 1 win in Indy you can buy tyres for about 20 cars!

And can you really add other than racing tyres on a FGT?
 
You poor man. I am saving for the F2010, but haven't resorted to B-spec yet. If I do (not likely) I will know things are getting seriously desperate
 
Hint: Indy race in American Championship (Extreme Series). 5 laps, 117k payout. You'll finish one race in less than 4 minutes.

I know, that's how broke I was at the time of writing the post.
I usually buy UCD cars I don't have like the FIT W or something like that.
I can now buy them with my 4 million Cr. :D
 
haha yeah i feel the same. even thogh bsepc at level 26 is boring enuff

Nah nah, the norm here is : Buy all upgrades, buy racing softs. Win race. Login to GTPlanet, moan and cry to everyone that races are too easy and your a god at driving and why oh why won't anyone decent challenge you.

The bigger question, why come on a message board and tell people about it? Surely that didn't solve anything......or have all of GT5's problems been fixed because you expressed your complaints to the world??

Seems like you need to go outside and enjoy real life. If you are bored of the game, put down the controller...

You can't sell it, but you can still trade it and get something else you want.
 
I really don't know why people are so negative about B-Spec? It's not like "resorting" to it, any more than resorting to the seasonal events, it's part of the overall game.

If you could use B-Spec in A-Spec races I can understand how it could be considered an easy-way-out, but it's not, it's another mode.

Having said that, B-Spec can be a grind sometimes, but It's just something you have to do.
 
Find some good people online to play with. If you can your enjoyment of GT5 will increase ten fold. There really is no point to play the offline stuff.

Which is definitely what I did not do.
How do you know that I did that?
So you can't just say that I simply did an oil change and bought Racing Softs without any evidence.
