Shopping cart, into go-kart?

Hi all, I'm just wondering what you think of this idea. I got the shopping kart, my buddy S13Drifting, will help out since his dad as adequate tools to do this. :) I know this idea originally came from monster garage. I don't know if one shopping cart is enough though, how much do you guys think a normal grocery store would charge for an old shopping cart? well for our engine, were going to use a ride on lawn mower engine, if anyone has some ideas, or suggestion feel free to post. :)
 
use a steel shopping cart and make it a really low lowrider :D
 
It would be easier to make your own frame.
 
Shopping carts get dumped everywhere. I don't think you will have to buy one.
 
Thats Awesome. Shopping carts Can be used for anything. I designed a shopping cart turned into a fully armed vehicle In CAD class . Missiles and everything.
 
They tried something like this on an episode of Monster Garage once. A highschool shop teacher and his class took up the challenge and documented the transformation. It actually came out really well and beat the crap out of a bunch of rental gocarts. I wanna know if I can buy the thing, because it was a pretty sick ride.

There's also that commercial for one of the new driving games where the guys drag race shopping carts through the aisles of a supermarket. Burnout 3 was the game I think, but I'm not sure...
