I noticed that GT3 has an option for if your TV is 3:4 or widescreen, but should GT4 have that as well as HDTV? It could be possible, being that there's already RGB cables basically for computer monitors.

My only concern is that it might be too slow for the 200mhz processor...
But hey! If that's the case, we could always go back to the regular TV or EDTV or something along the lines of that

it needs HDTV. my family just got a new 65 ich Mitsubishi widescreen

I'm glad that the PS2 requirements revolve around your family, Viperguy. Just as long as you get state-of-the-art equipment, we should be all right...

hdtv is not an optional feature; it's automatic. just like how some tv networks broadcast in hdtv, all the tv's (normal and digital) recieve the same signal, but only hdtv's will take advantage of it.

Okay, so I see your point, but I've read comparisons betwix PS2, XBox, and GC, and sadly, the other two have games which look better at high-res. I'm pretty sure for X-Box it's because it's processor is 700mhz, compared to the PS2's 200mhz, but I'm not sure what the GC has...

Anyway, it was just an idea, like if you want to have high-res even if it sacrafices the FPS, or if you wanted to have a perm. low-res with higher FPS.

The PS2 processor is 300mhz Risc (Reduced Instruction Chipset, or something) and the X-Box is 733mhz P3 Cisc (Complex Instruction chipset) just because it has less Mhz doesnt nessicarily mean less powerfull if your comparing Risc to Cisc. But infact the X-box is generally more powerfull than the PS2. Oh yeah the GC uses a 500mhz (around that mark) Risc processor. Although I have no F`n idea what HDTV is?
