Should GT5 have an on-line drag strip?

This is the kind of poll where I'm legitimately curious how anyone can say the equivalent of "no, I don't want PD to do things that will objectively make the game better."

Whether you would use it or not, there is no reason to not have it. Particularly when through a combination of already-implemented things (GT5 can do point to point races, GT5 has several tracks that would work for it, GT5 is already capable of measuring acceleration times and G-loads, and GT5 already has a grid mode where the game leaves the launches up to the player and penalizes for early launches) PD could very easily jury rig functionality that at least emulates a proper drag racing mode.

Yes, so I can finally get some peace. Sick and tired of braking for Hammerhead or being midway through Chicago, only to be pounded by 10 ACR's, Veyron's, and X1's.

Someone would vote no because they would rather see PD spending time and revenues on normal race tracks. ;)

I think the point Toronado is trying to make is that to implement some sort of drag racing feature would be extremely easy given that PD already has a venue, point to point racing, a feature that records quarter mile times, and something to penalize a driver if they start too early or something.

So someone would vote no because they are under the incorrect assumption that everyone who works at PD are Renaissance Men, thus the people who create assets are the same ones who would program features into the game?

To say nothing about how the people who make tracks and cars wouldn't be working on it anyway. as I already outlined, the majority of the heavy lifting for implementing an online drag racing feature is already done.

Euh... yes :)

Or someone would vote no as an answer to the question "do you think GT5 should have a drag strip' because it is there opinion.

But it might be just me.
If asked I would vote no to a Livery editor as well but there seem to be alot of people who actually want that

Pardon me old Chap, but what`s a Livery editor?

Then you really could have an unique car. Sounds good!! 👍

Maybe the next GT will have a Drag strip, and a Livery mode.
Do you think the guys drifting and spinning around right outside of the pit exit, even know where they are?
