Should GTPLMS Stay on GT4 or should it be on Grid??

This is an idea that I had in mind and I would like to see what is everyone else's feelings on this. Should GTPLMS stay on GT4 or should it be on Grid? Here are two videos featuring all the LMP, GT1, and GT2 cars:





I just relised I wasn't specific on the choices so:

"Yeah, it'll much better" - If you vote this, your for it going on Grid

"No, its fine the way it is" - If you vote this, your for it staying on GT4

"Not quite sure" - Basically what it says

The main reason I see for you to move to GRID is the online capabilities. It turns out that although GT4 doesn't necessarily have Online racing, its LAN mode allows you to use a thing called X-link so that you can race online! If you want I can PM you some details.

Belisario93, while I think thats actually good, I think there will be a problem with more competitors in each class then just 6 on track at the same time. This is what I see with the two:

GT4

*Online by way of X-Link

*6 cars on track at the same time



Grid

*Online by Default

*16 Cars on track at once, Including Multi-class racing.


While its nice, the series has to potential to be even better on not only a newer generation console, but we can actually have a race with each other, not a race against the AI and their is a choice of better cars to race with and select from. That is why I see GTPLMS being in much better shape with Grid.

I see what you mean by using GRID, I just don't want to have to buy another game and a new console to run in the GTPLMS, and I'd love to see how XLink works out.

also, in order for me to race in GTPLMS (if it was on Computer), I would have to spend more than $80 just so I could meet the requirements to run the game! I can't do that man, I'm just a 15 year old kid and my parents wouldn't fork out that kind of money. It would cost me even more if you decided PS3 or XBox 360 because I don't have either of those consoles (and I'm never going to buy a 360 anyway for personal reasons)

so basically, I'm standing with my decision of keep it where it is.

Good point. I forgot there are many people who still don't have a next gen console. They may have been what contributed to most of the votes. If it stays this way, then I will keep it on GT4 and will instead introduce a GRID Based series, either as a Le Mans Endurance series or instead just use the GT cars and possibly put together a FIA GT based series and maybe a Prototype only Series. Thanks for reminding me that:tup: I certainly don't want to make anyone do anything they aren't capable of.

The way the votes have gone, its not gonna happen so I wouldn't worry about it.

Since there is three platforms for GRID and I would like to accomedate everyone, I'm considering putting together Platform-based divisions. That way, no one is left out and everyone can race. I in particular am getting the PS3 version so I'll be able to only participate on the PS3 version while you'll do so on the PC version so we are on different platforms. With these divisions, its possible for both of us to still compete despite that it won not be against each other. How does that sound to you?

(Unlike before the baby arrived, when I was on here pretty much 24/7 apart from sleep.)

But the LMS should stay on GT4, at least for the time being. IMHO.👍

Alright, GTPLMS will remain on GT4 until Proper GT5 comes out.

Well everyone, thanks for your input and opinions. For now the ALMS will continue on its platform and a new series will be made.
