Should I buy a Playseat? Is it worth it? Which one should I get?

Okay I have been thinking about getting a Playseat, I don't plan on buying it for a while though.

If you have one, is it worth the money, they are quite pricey.

If I were to get one I would most likely get the Alcantara playseat.

Let me know your opinions about them!

I had the Alcantra Playseat. I don't anymore. Bought an Obutto Ozone.

They are not too bad for the price, but I did't like the centre post design, and found the un-adjustable seat a bit of a pain. Now I have a dedicated racing corner and have trips on my Obutto. Now I am a happy camper.

Do a search for playseat on here. There are several threads that asked the same question.

I have two... but only got them because I got them at a good price. I would not recommend them. For a little more I would get the RSeat.

Try this one, $325 shipped. The rSeat is said to be super nice as well for about $500. GT Omega makes a couple nice rigs in the $400- $500 range. Fanatec CSL seat, $300.

Myself, I use a Fanatec Rennsport Wheelstand and a wrecking yard car seat, total cost about $170. Playseats are fine for some folks, but I always thought they were a little expensive, a little flimsy and a bit awkward for the price, although I see they have a model in the $300 range these days. But they do still have units in the $600 and up range too.

I had a playseat Alcantara first, now i have an Rseat Evo3. I know the Rseat is slightly more expensive. But the difference in quality is huge aswell. In this seat I have found my ideal position, wich was not the case with the playseat because of the centre post.

Sometimes, spending the extra buck is worth it. I'll have a look around thanks.
