Ok trib, just for you.
Firstly I set in game settings the same on both titles.
I used the same wheel program on my GT2.
I was surprised at how similar the FF was across both platforms.
Only three very slight differences I noticed.
I took the Lotus around Melbourne.
Xbox.
Now the main version I play is the PS version because I only got my GT2 wheel 2 weeks ago and have been using my G27 since release.
Anyhow I was impressed with the xbox version. Around the twelve o'clock position the FF was very responsive, no FF deadzone at all.
Also accelerating out of a bend seemed to increase the spring return of the wheel. If you can imagine driving your car slowly around a radius and then accelerating the wheel wants to straighten out.
This seemed new to me, odd. So I loaded Instanbull to try turn eight. Felt nice.
Rumbles were all present and correct too.
PS3.
Rumbles felt slightly better to me but really not a lot of difference, just felt nice.
FF around twelve o'clock felt looser. Almost like a drop in FF for a few degrees. Certainly subjective though, many might prefer this feel and there's nothing untoward about it.
Accelerating out of a corner didn't seem as strong on the centre spring but I did notice it. Funny thing about that is that if I hadn't played the Xbox I wouldn't have missed anything lol.
I thought the rumbles felt slightly better on the PS3 but maybe it was just how I ran over them.
Bottom line is that really I was surprised how very similar across both platforms FF was.
I was struggling to find differences and I hope I expressed myself ok when basically trying to talk about how a human's touch works
Sorry there's no bombshell news mate.
Just a thought, maybe the twelve o'clock FF was dialled back a bit to avoid oscillation on geared type wheels G27 etc.
