As was everyone else, I was excited as the days to GT4 got closer and closer. Yet, when the day came, I didn't pick the game up. I read the previews and customer experiences with the game, and at the time, I didn't know if it was the game to get as I thought it was. The auto-saving and hard lisence tests are what are deterring me from getting the game. However, I have always loved GT and GT4 has alot of promsing features that I just can't miss out on. So, my question is simple. Do the good features outweigh the bad ones in GT4? Is it worth getting?

Thanks for any input.

If your name is honest then yes, you want to buy GT4. If you are truly obsessed then a new autosave feature won't turn you off. I miss being able to check out a car and then just reloading if I don't like it but I usually can't dop that until I have money to blow anyway. I have finally reached the point where I can just blow money and shrug it off, so now if I don't like a car I can take the cash loss. If you are obsessed about 100% win ratio then get over it. People liked to be obsessed so they could tell their friends they had 100% wins. If you did it by reloading then you cheated anyway and you lied.

As for the hard licenses: Huh? Usually I have to work for silvers and golds but in GT4 I have a couple of golds and about 40% silvers with just a single run through. It's encouraging enough for me to actually want to go and try for all golds eventually.

Besides, if you are truly GT Obsessed then you should accept the licenses. They are a part of GT and always have been from day one. On top of that you will learn the new physics engine that way.

If you are just wanting an easy game that you can just always win on then don't bother. GT has never been about that and hopefully never will be. If that is what you want go get the latest installment of Need For Speed or Project Gotham Racing.

'Nuff Said.

**** what them cats think i think GT4 is a ****ing kick ass game wtv when i first got it i tohught it was meh..... but now its killler guy never gets boring and especially the drifting woah killer man

If you liked the other GT games you will like this one. That's all. Main point of criticism being used is that it is too much more of the same. Yet I do think it is improved in every aspect.

It's not a 'casual' game I think, it needs alot of dedication and spare time to get a decent amount completed.

If you just want to pick it up and play a couple of laps in arcade mode, then it's fine - but you'll be missing most of the games content.

Don't care about the critics, if you really love Gran Tourismo , You will stick by it's side always and still show it some love!

if you have tv and a ps2 god da. get it

if you like anything about cars or gt get it

What are you waiting for, yes it IS worth getting!!

lol, ur in a gt forum, of course everyones gonna say yes :D

but yea, i do agree, its a great game, go buy it :D

even if there are some features you dont like about the game, that shouldnt stop you from getting the game
