I will be getting GT5 this Christmas. I cannot wait to play it.
My concern is if I should invest in the HKS controller or just play with my dualshock 3. I don't have enough money for a wheel or space, and I know this is not an option.
Is the GT experience hindered by the use of a dual shock 3 controller, or is something like the HKS controller needed at least to match similar standards set by wheels?
I've heard a few problems with the HKS controller. I have heard the steering wheel can start to stick to the right side, and that you have to configure the throttle/brake options. I have also heard that the shoulder buttons on the controller don't match up to the quality of the DS3. Also the fact that it is wired. It seems this controller might not be built to last and is poor quality when compared to the Sony controllers. I would only be buying this controller for GT5, so this would definitely have to be worth the price.
I plan to spend dozens if not houndreds of hours on GT5, I love racing games, and I was still a kid back when GT3 was released... Its finally my chance to enjoy this game. I want to get the full experience.
What do you guys think? Is the DualShock enough to fully experience this game? Or should I consider buying the HKS just for this game?
