Should I go online?

I havent hooked my ps3 online and am wondering if I should?
Im not intersted in online racing as such but more asking if there are any other advantages?

My xp is at A25 B19 and ive kind of got myself stuck in a rut where the cars I need dont seem to be popping up in used cars and I cant seem to earn cash quick enough to be buying the limited number of new cars available.

Thinking maybe the things I need can be found by plugging this thing online?
 
Yes, If you connect online you can download the GT5 update v1.05 which gives you acess to the Seasonal Events.
 
I think you should because if you do the seasonal events they can get you 1,000,000s of credits.
 
One of the great advantages is that you can access the Seasonal Events. Those events award you with a lot of Credits & XP -- only for the Bonus Races, though. Another is that you can gift or trade with your friends to obtain some desired cars without the need or work to grind. Another is that you can access the OCD (Online Car Dealership). This dealership is the same as the UCD (Used car Dealership), but it releases cars that are desirable to the public & are also otherwise not waiting for in the UCD, including the FGt & the Bentley Speed 8. Since it has the word "Online" in it, It is the same for every person. The OCD updates every Thursday night.
 
You can also have access to the online dealership where new cars show up avery week. The online dealership has Formula GT and other race cars or cars that do not usually show up in the used car dealership. Every week there is a new seasonal event update also. The seasonal events give you lots of experience, credits and give you the chance to use a car you may not have driven. The seasonal events are generally 5 lap races on a short track that makes you use a certain car without tuning restrictions. If you do all the seasonal events right now you could probably get close to level 27 or 28 Aspec and have 3 or 4 million credits and they are very easy.
 
If you have friends that live a long way off, being online is a real plus.

It's great to get into a lounge and have a race together. Using mics, it's like you were all sat together in the same living room. Really great way to play....
 
Just remember to take a backup of your save game before you play online.
Ther are stories of people that have get "corupted data" on ther save game.

You can take a backup after installing v1.05
 
hey thanks for the feedback. Sounds like these seasonal events and the Online Dealership are the way to get myself back into the game.

Regarding online connection can this be done wireless or do i need to dig around under the house and drill some holes in the floor?
